Turn the car to the on position. Hit trip reset button until it say trip. Now turn the key to off. Hold the trip button and turn to on. Release trip button after the needles reset.

Bearing on the compressor or from a point that you can't see. I would bet on the compressor though.

Rad fan not cutting in. Check its fuse under the hood. Happened to my '02.

they list for 285 it's probably cheaper to simply replace it

Remove electrical connections from old master cylinder remove and plug brake lines remove mounting bolts and pull off from brake booster BENCH BLEED new master cylinder prior to installing Install in reverse order of removal If bench bled properly should not have to bleed brake lines

The pcv valve is on the drivers side top of the engine. It is a screw in type, with a single hose connected to the rear of it.

the i.a.t ( intake air temp. sensor) is not your problem. the iat simply tells the comp. the outside air temp for a small fuel mixture adj. however it is located in the black hose from the air filter to the throttle body. this code has been in your system for a long time. does the engine turn over sounding weird( fast revolutions?) like there is no resistance in the motor? if yes, ck timing belt, if not, ck for the presents or lack of spark and or no fuel pressure. good luck master tech 26yrs

The mileage of the vehicle depends on the upkeep and maintenance. For most vehicles that have been properly maintained 100000 is not that many miles.

DO NOT PUT A NGC MOTOR (2003-2005) in anything but a NGC car!!! Your motor has a better compression ratio anyway. You will spend a minimum of atleast 1,000 man hours wiring and soldering a standalone engine managment together then a standard swap. Find any year between 96-2002... those will work just fine.

the car will not crank using the key..you have to crank by taking battery cable on and off..and then the other day it just died..finally got it cranked and it stayed crank and few minutes and then it cut off..what could this be

Lift the rear of the car, lose tank with 10mm socket(2 screws) disconnect fuel pump at the right side and disconnect fuel hose with screw driver. Just move a little and it's down. When installing do it with empty tank!

It is about 50% possible for the valves to hit the head on a Neon. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

oil fouled plugs because the grommets are bad in the plug tubes. if not, could be bad coil pack or ignition control module. may also be the crank sensor. use noid light on injector harness and see if it flashes when cranked, you will know if the computer is sending message to pulse injectors. check for fuel at the schraeder valve on the fuel rail after you turn key and hear fuel pump kick on for a few seconds to verify fuel pump works. put a spark tester on a plug wire and crank, does it have any spark. if no crank sensor signal you will have no spark or fuel injector signal. may also be a broken timing belt, you can do a compression check or remove valve cover and spark plugs and grab the serpentine belt and rotate engine by hand and watch to see if valve train moves while rotating the engine. less likely could be fuel pressure regulator on top of the fuel pump. make sure the fuel pump fuse and relay are good and also check the asd( auto shut down ) relay is good, use a volt meter and jumper wires along with the help of a haynes repair manual. with good fuses and relays you need good spark, fuel at correct pressure and good compression. a blown head gasket will not give you good compression. there are alot of reasons a car will not start, rule things out one at a time. a compression check will rule out timing belt and head gasket at same time.

The pcm is located on the drivers side of car, by the radiator.

safer than walking in the road. they are probably just as safe as any tiny car on the road if you wear your seat belt. don't worry so much and drive safely. if you ask because you are thinking of putting a child behind the wheel of one then i may suggest a four door with airbags. good brakes and tires could only help. generally nobody fairs well in a high speed crash so its not so much the car as it is the particular circumstance.
