Depends on how much dip you're throwing in your mouth obviously, but a cigarette typically contains 1-1.5mg of niccotine. Dip contains anywhere from 4-25mg of niccotine per gram of chewing tobacco (a can contains 34g of dip). (34g/Number of pinches per can) x (4 to 25mg of niccotine) gives a rough estimate, but yes a typicall pinch of chewing tobacco contains much more niccotine than a single cigarette.

Firstly, xylene many other solvents are carginogenic, causing genetic point mutations (that may mean cancer) after metabolism by cytochrome p450 in the liver. This solvent is not safe. I do realize that coffee is decaffeinated with this stuff. However, I also realize that this is a process being carried out at home.

Water alone will do the job. Just at tobacco to hot water, HEAT it to boiling, strain off solids, and then filter the stuff.

Simply put, the answer is no. However smoking increases the risk of dying from a smoking related illness. Personally I have known people that have had heart disease and lung cancer and have never touched a cigarette, also a couple relatives of mine are in their 90's and have smoked since their teen years, and they are as healthy or better than the average nonsmoker for that age. Overall the odds are in your favor of having a longer and healthier life if you don't smoke. There are many variables here including how much you smoke, how long, genetic background.

Cigarette tobacco has an ideal moisture content after it's cured. They're wrapped in a preservative foil and packaged in light cardboard packages with cellophane wrapped around each pack in order to preserve the moisture content from point of manufacture to point of sale. Once the cellophane wrapping is removed, the cigarettes will slowly begin to dry out. This isn't noticeable during the normal consumption of a pack by the end user. When most of the moisture has leached out of the cigarettes, they will taste stale, and burn away rapidly.

Good question, seeing that I am actually now sick and coughing up a lung after smoking pipe tobacco cigarettes for only two days. I attempted avoiding the high price of Marlboros at the counter, but I am back to paying my high taxes like everyone else. I can't describe how uncomfortable my chest feels right now after smoking pipe tobacco cigarettes...in short it is something I will never do again. I would imagine that each person has a different experience though. I did not see any problems until smoking about 40 pipe tobacco cigarettes, then I was pretty congested.

I wouldn't fret too much. I am sure you can do more harm to your unborn child by to much stress. As long as you have quit now you have done your best to protect your baby and yourself. If your that concerned about it just make sure you make an appointment with an obgyn and ask the doctor. To make sure your baby is healthy and stays healthy you need to have regular pregnancy appointments anyway.
