I don't know whether it was super glue or gorilla glue, but I had a lot of it in little splotches on my white island counter top. It's been there for at least two years, I've tried magic erasers with no luck. Today I did an internet search and found this page, got out my acetone nail polish remover and a very fine steel wool pad(for refinishing wood), and my magic eraser. The trick was to soak either a cotton ball or magic eraser and the steel wool with the nail polish remover, and rub the spots. - Lo and behold the spots are gone!

If you are re-grouting tile, all the old grout must be out, and the area free of dirt and grime. Before you begin you need to make sure of the following. * What is your grout spacing? If it is less than 1/8" you must use non sanded grout. 1/8" or large must use sanded grout. This is something to not be guessed at. Older style 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" usually need non sanded, but today grout spaces on the wall have become larger. If you use the wrong grout, you will be reducing this in short order. * You have no loose tile. Grouting over them will not bond them better to the wall. By leaving them, your grout lines will crack and allow water to make its way back behind the wall. * You have all of your supplies on hand and ready You will need the following supplies * Grout, enough to complete the entire job. * 2 tile sponges * 3 buckets at least 2 1/2 gallons * Good quality grout float - this is a rubber rectangle with a wood handle, used to spread the grout. * Matching silicone caulk * A clean lint free towel or rag * Sealer (not used the day of install!!) When looking for grout, make sure it is latex fortified. Epoxy grouts are great too, but are often hard for a do-it-yourselfer to work with. Grout comes in much larger bags then most people could work within the window it needs to be applied once mixed. Just like a cake recipe you need to measure carefully. Break the bag into four parts along with the mixing instructions. It is best to not "eyeball it" if you want a consistent color. Adding to much or to little water can leave the color off from the other mixed batches. The final mixture it should be about mashed potatoes consistency. Make sure all the thin set is off the face of the tile. Work in a 4'x4' area to start. Using your grout float start at the top of the wall. You want to go diagonal to the grout spacing. This will prevent your float from hitting the joints and marring the lines. Don't allow the grout to sit on the face of the tile longer then 20 minutes before you start wiping. Fill both of the remaining buckets with clean water. Have separate sponges for each bucket. The first water bucket will be for the first few wipes and the second for the remaining final clean up. Using your first sponge start at the top and wipe straight down without stopping. At the bottom of your grouted tile, move your sponge over flip it over and wipe up. Rinse sponge. Continue until your 4 foot area is wiped completely. With the second sponge and repeat the same process. This prevents you from spreading the grout all over the tile and actually takes off more. You want to continue this process until the tile is completely clean. You can at the end use a clean rag careful not to touch the wet grout. The tile is not clean enough if you can still see a film on the tile. This will dry on the face of the tile and leave it looking cloudy and dull. Once all the tile are completely grouted, take your silicone caulk and caulk all the inside corners and where the tile meets the floor, tub, or counter. The grout will need to dry for at least 3 days. Twice a day spray the grout with a water bottle. This helps the grout to dry evenly On the 4th day you can take your sealer. Follow the instructions on your product because sealers are applied differently. Most need to be applied 2 or 3 times. Allow this to dry over night and your job is complete. The best cleaner for ceramic and porcelain tile is vinegar and water. A half and half mixture will clean the toughest stains. Never use it on natural stone.

Is it okay to steam clean vintage gold coins

Never clean old coins, pennies, nickels, dimes, etc... Coin collectors want the natural patina. If the pennies have dirt on them then soak them in water to remove the dirt.

But don't use any detergents. Detergents can damage the surface of the coin and leave pitting lowering the value of the coin. Also do not rub the coins together to loosen the dirt, this can scratch and wear the coins and lower the value.

Coins (US Coins) will be worth face value to a non-coin collector, but if you plan to collect coins or just clean them to sell as collector pieces, then don't clean them.

There is almost no way to do this without destroying the plastic. As you didn't say WHAT KIND of plastic, it's hard to be more help.

If they are only shallow surface scratches, They can be wet- sanded out with 1200 grit wet&dry paper, and then polished with compound if desired.If they are deep, the gelcoat can be repaired, but it would probably be cheaper to replace the tub.

To remove graffiti from a vinyl fence purchase some pain remover that says it can be used on vinyl. Wash the fence with plain water and dry with a clean cloth. Then use the pain remover and a brush to begin removing the graffiti. When all the graffiti is removed wash the fence again with water.

Pressure washer, or simply remove the part of the wall with puke stain and patch it, as vomit will eat into the sheetrock and fester causing an unpleasant odor for you and any possible friends that may or may not show up

It depends on what paint and how well it was applied. I would try Goof Off first, let a few drops settle on the glue and it should soften enough to remove it. Goof Off doesn't appear to damage well painted surfaces.

Despite the best storage efforts, vinyl banners do get creases. Fortunately, it is not difficult to smooth them out. First, you can lay your banner out flat on the ironing board and place a thick wet cloth on top of the banner. Then heat your iron to a medium temperature and carefully iron the area where the crease is. Do not leave the iron in place too long because you do not want to melt the banner. The moisture from the cloth should help to steam away the wrinkle in no time.

You should first scratch with fingernails then when the putty becomes loose you should get soap and a sponge and scrub! Once you have done this wipe it all clean with a dry paper towel. *suggested soaps* (dawn, scrubbing bubbles, or goo gone

You would have to be sure that the lampshade is made of natural fibers and does not have a coating that would prevent a dye from being absorbed. Wear gloves and use a sponge to apply the fabric dye. Make sure to let it dry completely.

You clean latex paint from a fiberglass tub with warm water, dish soap, and a scrubber sponge. Mix a small amount of dish soap with warm water and pour it over the paint. Allow the soap and water to sit on the paint stain for fifteen to twenty minutes. Scrub the area with a scrubber sponge, and the rinse everything away.

Keeping your make up brushes clean is essential and must be done on a regular basis. The best way to do this is to first run them under warm water keeping the hairs pointed downwards. Next put a little liquid hand soap on your fingers and apply it going from the top edge of the hairs down to the very end. Finally rinse and let dry laying on its side on a paper towel.

Take a lint free cloth. Spray or drip some rubbing alcohol on the cloth, or if the screen is not so dirty make a mix of 50 % distilled water and 50 % rubbing alcohol. Gently wipe the screen. Repeat if necessary.

The intended use of carpet tape is to keep area rugs from sliding around on flooring surfaces such as wood, ceramic and other smooth surfaces. The tape is usually double sided so it will stick under the rug and on to the floor.

Put the clothes in the freezer, or outside if it's a very cold winter, until the bubble gum freezes. Then scrape off the bubblegum, it will be easy to do and no longer sticky. Pretreat the remaining stain and wash it as you normally would.

Sometimes the calcium (from hard water) has soaked into the granite, so the stain is not on the surface. Try a razor blade first, then look for the hard water cleaning procucts, but test them on a granite scrap from that countertop first!

Being the mother of 3 home schooled boys..well..accidents happen. A few weeks ago, I came across some modeling clay that had been ground into the carpet, underneath where the ladder goes to the top bunk of our bunk bed set..bright green modeling clay that had came off of a project that was being shown to an older brother..and no one notified me of the mess... Anyway, I called Rose Art and asked them what to do...was placed on hold because the very nice gentleman that was answering didn't know..he came back about 5 minutes later and apologized for the wait..but had an answer. Use Canola Oil to get it out of the carpet. He didn't have any ideas as for getting the color out tho'. So I tried using a little Canola Oil on a paper towel and guess what? It worked!!! The color remained so I used some nail polish remover in the same manner and all if it is gone! We are renting a house that has the light beige carpet in it..and now you can't see any remnants of the disaster!!
