Linseed oil is a traditional PRESERVATIVE and has been used for centuries for concrete, masonry, wood and metal. You would mix it 1 parts linseed to 2 parts turpentine (not mineral spirits), but the mixture would vary. You want to used boiled linseed oil, not raw linseed oil (check the label).

Note this is not a SEALANT but a preservative- if you are doing your garage or basement floor, try something else!

Also be careful- the tools and rags you use can spontaneously combust (i.e.: burst into flame, no kidding!) when being used with linseed oil. Check the Wikipedia page for details under "Linseed Oil"

yes you can wash the wallabees in the washer but only the clothe pair, the suede pair i would not recommend it may mess them up, now the sole will not come clean that's another issue im trying to solve.

It depends on who you call. Some companies charge by the square foot, other charge by the room. Look for a company that is about in the middle of the pack in price. Do NOT pick the cheapest carpet cleaner. Look for a company that uses the hot-water extraction method, and uses truck mounted machines. Ask if they pre-spray and if they are certified with the IICRC. Insurance is always a must too.

Honestly I don't think you CAN get linseed oil off of anything. I know people who have found dried linseed oil paint in their hair 2 months (and dozens of showers) after leaving a jobsite. Linseed oil does one thing very well- it permeates and infiltrates most any surface it comes into contact- that is why it is such a good preservative for wood, masonry and even metal. Getting it off your skin is tough enough using paint thinners, turpentine, etc, and really you're just diluting it (oh, and it's being partially absorbed into your skin too).

If it is on her eye lid only, let it dry and flake it off, DO NOT use anything other than soap to remove it, and use that only sparingly.

The detergent or soap used with steam cleaners is probably the disinfecting agent. Certainly, the heat from the steam helps remove soil and debris from the flooring or furniture, but the main thing is the detergent used, along with a good rinse.

If it has water-based ink; then just use dish washing soap and water. If it is another ink, there are various products that can help you remove ink from the rubber.

The first thing is wash with soap and water. The odor comes from bacteria lodged in your skin and this needs to be cleaned off. Soap and water is best and you need to rinse the soap off well before going further. You may find you need to do it several times per day for a couple of weeks before things start to clear up.

After washing you need to reduce the thing the bacteria tends to feed from - sweat. Deodorant or talc powder. But bear in mind this WILL be washed off as you wash yourself again and will need to be reapplied. Change your clothing if you can and always wash it before re-wearing - don't just leave it on the floor for a couple of days and then re-use it!!! Treat it as if it were a re-occurring infection and anything you have touched causes a re-infection.

The same answer is applied to smelly feet! Wash 3 or 4 times per day, and if you have enough socks and shoes change those at the same!

It is simply a matter of personal hygiene and it must be appreciated that some are starting further down the line than others and some do sweat more and they should take additional precautions.

Yes you should wash iron skillets because like any other cooking tool you want them clean so that you dont cross-contaminate your food and possibly make you sick. Make sure that you dry the skillet thoroughly so that no rust builds up as well.

In addition, once a month you'll need to "season" the pan. Lightly coat the inside of the pan with your choice of vegetable oil, peanut oil, or olive oil and allow to soak into the metal for about 1 hour while heating the pan in a 200 degree oven. Wipe out the remaning film with a dry papper towel. If by chance your skillet does get a little rusted simply wash and dry it thoroughly and reseason.

The best way to clean leather shoes is to brush away any dirt that you can with a dry cloth. You can then go over the shoes with a leather cleaning wipe to remove stubborn dirt. Let the shoes dry and then apply a leather polish to them if desired.

There are numerous solvents that will remove permanent marker. Nail polish remover and alcohol are common ones. Alcohol is less likely to cause problems with the surface you are cleaning, but you should always test carefully so you don't ruin the item.
