What do you call the skin between your nostrils?
My wife and I call it a glebe. You may call it whatever you like.
What kind of symbiotic relationship do a frog and mosquito have?
A symbiotic relationship implies that both species need each other to survive and benefit each other in different ways. A mosquito eats from a man or animal, and man needs the mosquito to maintain ecosystem balance as one of the lower members of the food chain.
Well you see MOST Tadpoles are vegetarians!! So species have been proven to be carniviose. I have a pond in my yard and there are tadpoles in thier that i tape and it shows some eating plants and others eating plankton and such.
What are two ways frogs can exchange gases?
They breathe through lungs while on land, and by their skin while in water Through their skin.
Yes, frogs creates mucus because they have mucus glands and it serves as a protection for dehydration and it also facilitates for their respiration because frog breathe through their skin too.
Yes there is a almost deadly frog actually. The poison dart frog is blue for a reason. To warn other animals of their poisonous barbs. If you touch it,the darts inject the poison into the person\animal etc.Although poisonous,it is not always fatal and is treatable.
How do i get rid of noisy frogs in backyard pond?
Here are some ideas for getting rid of frogs. These are the "short versions" of the full explanations which can be found in my article on this subject at Karlonia.com. I have included a link to the relevant page under the "Related Links" section below.
1. Move the frogs to another location (catch and release method).
2. Eliminate favorable habitats for the frogs.
3. Turn off outdoor lights.
4. Kill all of the bugs that the frogs normally eat.
5. Bring in natural predators.
6. Use a citric acid solution.
7. Repel them with moth ball chemicals.
8. Spray them with bleach (not really humane, but somewhat effective).
9. Repel them with salt or vinegar solutions.
10. Spraying them with caffeine has been used as an effective repellent in some studies.
Why does a frog have 4 fingers but 5 toes?
WE HAVE 5 FINGERS BECAUSE ITS ALLAH SPELLED IN ARABIC ON YOUR RIGHT HAND
Correction, humans have 4 fingers and 1 thumb on each hand. This is so humans can grasp things. In my opinion this question can be answered through the understanding of nature, especially human nature in relation with some sort of logical explanation.
I propose linking this question with Prime Number, one of the subject of Number Theory, one of the branch of Mathematics.
Prime Number can be classified into 3 groups :
A.) The first group is based on Divisibility, the Remainder if we divide Prime Number by 9
(P = R mod 9) :
- P = 1 mod 9 (examples : 19, 37, 73, 109, etc.)
- P = 2 mod 9 (examples : 2, 11, 29, 47, 83, 101, etc.)
- P = 4 mod 9 (examples : 13, 31, 67, 103, etc.)
- P = 5 mod 9 (examples : 5, 23, 41, 59, 113, etc.)
- P = 7 mod 9 (examples : 7, 43, 61, 79, 97, etc.)
- P = 8 mod 9 (examples : 17, 53, 71, 89, 107, etc.)
B.) The second group is based on the Least Significant Digit of Prime Number (the unit) :
- LSD 1 (examples : 11, 31, 41, 61, 71, 101, etc.)
- LSD 3 (examples : 3, 13, 23, 43, 53, 73, 83, 103, etc.)
- LSD 7 (examples : 7, 17, 37, 47, 67, 97, 107, etc.)
- LSD 9 (examples : 19, 29, 59, 79, 89, 109, etc.)
C.) The third group is based on Uniqueness (Only reside in one groups at once) :
2
3
5
These Prime Number (2, 3 and 5) are Unique because they only belong to one groups at once, That's why we human have 2 hands, 5 fingers and 3 brains !!!
I said that 3 brains, Why? Because the Left Brain cooperated with the Right Brain created the Third Brain, that is the reality, the working principle of our Brains.
Moreover I said to you 3 hands, Why? Imagine someone playing guitar, the Left Hand cooperated with the Right Hand created the Third Hand, that is the reality, the working principle of our Hands.
What body symmetry has a frog?
Frogs, like all vertebrates, have bilateral symmetry. This means they have symmetry across one plane (known as the sagittal plane, and directly down the centre of their body), which means one side of their body approximately mirrors the other side.
No, a tadpole is the larva of frogs, which makes it technically an amphibian. It is, even though it lives in water and has gills. Anyway, it's not a mammal because 1.) It doesn't have hair/fur, 2.) It doesn't have its young live, 3.) it doesn't feed its young with milk. Hope this helps, User Ameobea The Tadpole is the young of the frog which is an amphibian.
Although, by definition, an amphibian is capable of living in & out of water but returns to water to spawn, the tadpole does neither.
It does not spawn until it has developed into a mature adult (frog) and nor can it survive out of water.
A mammal on the otherhand is defined by that fact that it gives birth to a live youngster which is, for all intents and purposes, a replica of it's parents.
How is an adult frog different from a tadpole?
Or the second stage in becoming a frog, almost any frog for that manner.
What do the red legged frog eats?
The yellow legged frogs are most fond of honey bees. They rely on the insect consumption mostly but there preferable behavior shows that they are very much fond of honey bees. They are Zoologically named as "Rana Muscosa" and are found to inhabit in crevices. They are almost on the verge of extinction due to excessive application of pesticides.
Frogs are a large group of carnivorous amphibians. Their kingdom is Animalia, phylum is Chordata, class is Amphibia and order Anura. Family, genus and species would depend on the particular frog.
Predators of the frog include:
<< Birds eat frogs, if this is what you mean.>>
No, it drys out there skin and then they die from the heat and loss of moisture in there body.
How does hibernation help frogs survive the winter?
Frogs hiber nate because they cannot live in cold
How many lobes do frogs have in the lungs?
because a frog does not have a very long digestive track compared to humans, and lives primarily in a environment with a lot of disease. so the 3 lobes of the liver are to produce more bile for faster digestion of fat, and to filter the blood of any pathogens or toxins in the blood from eating unclean food/ having a unclean environment.
How can you tell if frog eggs are fertilized?
There is no superficial examination to check whether eggs are fertilized or not because approximately 25% eggs are unfertilized . when eggs are incubated , it is confirmed that approximately 75% eggs develop .
A green Tree frog eat insects and plants like leaves and other stuff like that in the Rain forest
The tree frog eats, beleive it or not: Smaller species of frogs! And of course, they also eat bugs like praying mantises, flies, etc.
Hope this helped!

Do frog live in water or out of water?
Some frog species spend most of their time in or very near the water and some spend a larger percentage of time on land. In moist places like the rain forests they are able to live in trees and other habitats that would be difficult for an amphibian in a drier environment. Pretty much all frogs need water for the first part of their life cycle.
How can a frog spend hours underwater without refilling its lungs?
Many frogs, although not all, are able to absorb oxygen through their skin and as a result, are able to remain underwater for extended periods.
