Will your tropical kill each other?

There are so very many species of tropical fish. Some will live happily in groups (shoals/schools) of their own kind and others are happy with almost any species. There are the carnivores who will eat anything small enough to swallow and of course there are those species who do not like to have any company at all. So the answer is. If you choose the right species to mix together there will be no fighting or bullying but if you choose the wrong ones, you could have mayhem in your tank.

How much surface area does a goldfish need?

One goldfish needs at minimum a 20 gallon tank, with 10 additional gallons for each goldfish you want to add (that's 40 gallons for 3 goldfish). While this does sound like a lot, it's necessary for goldfish due to both their potential adult size, and because they are messy fish & produce a high amount of waste.

Can you put a female and male Betta fish in the same tank or bowl or will they fight to death?

It's best to only put male and female betta fish in the same tank/bowl if you are breeding them. If they are not breeding and they still stay in the same area, the male would most likely attack the female, so keep the female away!

Also, if you are breeding betta fish, make sure to remove the female betta after she lays her eggs, as the male will care for them and chase the female away.

What is the differences from a goldfish and a feeder fish?

a goldfish is a feeder fish.

I kind of disagree with the answer above. Yes, goldfish CAN be feeder fish, but they aren't necessarily feeder fish. Feeder fish are really fish that are rather small and are fed to other animals, and that are for some reason thought as not being as precious as other "pet" fish. So a feeder fish and a pet fish are two different kinds of fish, really. Not all goldfish are feeder fish. There are expensive goldfish, more than 10 dollars per fish! Then there are those goldfish breeded to be eaten that are sold as 75 cents per fish. So there are "pet" goldfish and "feeder" goldfish. So, a goldfish is not necessarily a feeder fish.

How do you know if you're fish is just fat or pregnant?

Goldfish don't get pregnant. They lay eggs (ova). If it is springtime in your part of the world then female goldfish could well have their ovaries full of eggs and be ready to spawn. If they do not spawn, the eggs will be reabsorbed by the body.

What organization regulated goldfish?

I'm not certain that an organization regulated goldfish but rather it was done by the government bodies as a whole. Since they are considered an invasive species, there are laws that say they can be bought, sold, transported and possessed, but cannot be introduced into the wild.
This will of course vary country to country, state to state, or even province to province, so you may be able to find a more direct answer by looking up your local laws.

Your gold fish is swimming sidewards What is wrong?

If the light is comming from a sideways direction rather than from the surface of the water then the fish could well turn its back to the light source. If that is not the case then the fish has a swim bladder problem and without treatment will die. Your local pet store may have some kind of medication available.
