They will remember hiding places in their environment, they will remember the place where they are fed and the person doing the feeding. Best bet is to let the parents tend the babies. Be wary of large filter intake grates and other fish. There are specially made baby holder that are made of mesh for water movement that clip into the inside of your tank to keep fry or injured fish safe while not needing a separate tank.
