Is a 20 gallon tank big enough for an adult ball python?

I agree that a 20 gallon tank isn't big enough and they won't be very comportable in it but ball pythons don't get longer than 20 feet, the longest a female would get to would be 5 - 6 feet and a male would get to about 4 - 5 feet but that's rare! You could use a 30 gallon tank but the best would be a 40 gallon tank for a fully grown ball python!!

Why is my goldfish swimming in circles?

There may be a water quality issue in your tank. Make sure that you are testing for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates which should be 0, 0, and less than 10 respectively.
If you have readings of ammonia or nitrites, or a high reading of nitrates, you should do an immediate 75% water change. Make sure that the new water you add to the tank is the same temperature as the old water, and be sure to add the correct dosage of water conditioner per the directions on the bottle.

In addition, check the PH of your tank - it should be 7.2 to 7.6 for your goldfish; if it's too low, it could also affect your fish, and the water change should help that as well.

Is it a law to have a filter in your tank for your goldfish?

There is no law requiring people to put filters in a goldfish tank (if there was than quite a few people would be in trouble for keeping their fish in tiny goldfish bowls with no filtration or aeration). However there are a lot of advantages to having a filter in a goldfish aquarium. For one, a filter serves as home for nitrosomas and nitrobacter bacteria that help with the nitrogen cycle and ultimately keep the water quality in a tank good. A filter will also remove unsightly waste particles in the water and provides a slight current in the tank. Lastly a filter will usually provide some sort of aeration thus raising the dissolved oxygen levels significantly.

You have inherited a filthy goldfish tank with 3 living goldfish How should it be cleaned out?

Bear in mind goldfish are very dirty fish. The common varieties grow to over 2 feet long and the fancies grow to 9 inches. If you keep them in a tank too small they will be stunted, their outside stops growing but their internal organs keep growing and eventually they reach an untimely death. the tank you have should be at least 30-40 gallons. when older fancies will need a very big tank, commons will need a pond! here is a chart of what you sould be doing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly: DAILY:

remove and uneaten food with a fish net

check the health of all your fish

check the temperature of your aquarium water using an aquarium thermomiter. you can buy glass ones with suction caps that go inside your tanks or stick-on ones that are like stickers you put on the outside of the tank glass.

check all electrical items are working properly eg. filters, air& water pumps, lights etc.

EVERY 7-14 DAYS:

change 20-25% of the tank water

trim back plants and remove any dead or dying leaves or stems

if you have a siphon, siphon solid matter from the tank bottom. you can purchase siphons from your LFS (local fish store)

clean the front glass to remove algae

wipe over cover glasses and condensation trays so that light can pass through them

MONTHLY (or more often if needed)

clean filters

check airstones and renew if partially blocked

vacuume the gravel ( if you have an aquarium vacuum)

EVERY 6-12 MONTHS

service air pumps and power filter motors

replace lighting tubes

replace airstones and airline

clean any plastic plants of algae with a stiff brush under a running tap.

=] Or just every week take the goldfish out of the boul into another boul with some of their original water and then clean out the boul (DONT USE FAIRY LIQUID) and plants, get a seive and fill it with its gravel and rinse alot under a very warm tap place filtered water trying to match it with its original temp andd then slowly introduce your fish to the new water!!! :)

What does it mean to take 25 percent of the water out and put it back in for a fish tank how do you do that?

This is whats called a "water change". What it does is filter out some of the water, without removing the helpful bacterias that make a fish take work. Most pet stores will sell the you tubing that makes this pretty easy. you just submerge the tubing and gravity will pull out the water into a bucket. id suggest a 5 gal bucket so you know how much water you are pulling out. 5 gallons is 25 percent of a 20 gallon tank. Dump that water, and then refil the bucket with tap water. Add some water conditioner, or...let the water sit out for atleast 24 hours. Then dump it in.

Can a vegan eat Goldfish Crackers?

well technacaly no cuz it contains cheese and some times milk i suggest tryong original but check ingrediants

ORIt depends upon the vegetarian. Vegans don't eat milk or eggs, and if you read the ingredients on your Goldfish crackers, you may find it contains eggs, and I'd bed it contains milk in the form of cheese.

However, some vegetarians are okay with eating certain kinds of fish. For example, many Seventh-Day-Adventists, who practice vegetarianism, are okay with eating tuna, but not shellfish. This is due to restrictions that are mentioned in the old testament of the Bible.

Other vegetarians follow a vegetarian diet--not for religious reasons, but because they do not wish to be cruel to animals. In that case, a vegetarian would definitely find it offensive to eat a tuna, because one would have to kill the tuna to eat it.
