Trick or Treating children have always been given a treat of some sort (in the late 1800's, they were given turnips of all things), but candy has grown in popularity due to it's love by children and adults alike.

There is a lot of sugar which if is on your teeth constantly eats away at them. For instance, teeth wise, chocolate is better for your teeth than a lollipop because a lollipop is constant sugar on your teeth because you are sucking on it for 30-45 min., but a candy bar, you eat it and its gone and i know it doesnt take me half an hour to eat a candy bar!

There are many popular Halloween candies. I would stay away from peanuts/tree nut candies because many people have allergies. I would recommend Blow Pops, Kit Kat, Twix, Tootsie Pops, Starburst, Hershey's, and Skittles. There are tons of popular candies out there!
