I just took my 1983 Mercury 80 hp Blue Band out yesterday on a 5 meter half cabin Australian Swift Craft. I kept it at approx 20 knots (backed off from full throttle which would be about 38 knots) for approx 80 minutes and used 27 Liters of Fuel. I was shocked that it used so much fuel.... was thinking sail boat. Or at least always cruising with the wind at my back. I noticed the huge difference in consumption coming back against the wind. It was my first time to measure fuel consumption. I'm still playing with cruising speeds.... Guess we are back to the sixties.

front of your engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs to use

<p>2006 Mercury Mariner front side marker parking lamp bulb replacement.</p>

<p>(1) Remove two fender splash shield bolts (item 1).</p>

<p>(2) Remove three fender splash shield plastic pin-type retainers (item 2), using a Phillips screwdriver to first remove the center pin, then gently pry the fastener out with a flat screwdriver.</p>

<p>(3) Remove two screws (items 3 and 4).</p>

<p>(4) Position fender splash shield aside.</p>

<p>(5) Remove the side marker lamp bulb holder (item 5) from the lamp assembly, by turning counterclockwise.</p>

<p>(6) Remove front side marker lamp bulb (item 6) from holder, by pulling bulb straight out.</p>

<p>(7) To install, reverse the removal procedure.</p>

It has 2 flasher relays. One for the turn signal and one for the hazard lights. Both are located above glove box behind the dash. You have to pull out glove box, by removing the two small screws at the bottom of your glove box that hold it to the hinge. Then slide out the box. Next look up behind the dash with a light and you will see a round green flasher and a round yellow flasher. Green for hazards, yellow for turn signals. Just unplug the old one and pull it out and install the new one. Then check to make sure the signals works again. And put every thing back together. Takes about 10 Mins.

I am an artist in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago w/ this exact resonating concern. To the degree that my trunk WAS broken into on New Years Eve / Day in Detroit. Yes, I dropped the ball.

State Farm made that whole experience a little less miserable, save for the fact that the car audio company they go through (AJRS) are clown shoes when it comes to explaining your remaining credit voucher to you. Be prepared for teenagers to up-sell you equipment you do not need, such as $115 for three pairs of Interconnects, & then charge you a 20% restocking fee when you don't want them.

But I digress.

Anyone who can install toggle switches in their dash to kill amplifiers can certainly relocate that trunk button elsewhere in the vehicle, or perhaps integrate a series of toggle switches accompanied by an arcade button. Something to defeat the obvious route to get that door open & press the trunk LOGO-ed button in plain view.

Bypassing the trunk button will also allow for additional, more flexible options such as wiring a $5 Hallmark card that records a message (perhaps 'F--k you, sir') for each time that trunk button is pressed. None of this is hard to do, people that race Import Tuners install dummy switches into their cars that over-ride the ignition switch to prevent hot-wiring, etc.

There's definitely some room to think outside the box w/ a Mercury Milan, since as was mentioned in the original post, there is no valet key or trunk lock.

This may not be an answer but it's what I am now doing this weekend.

Since the 71-77 Comets used the same basic frame as the Ford Falcon, the original Comet, and the mid-sized Ford Fairlane, Maverick, Mercury Meteor, and later Mercury Comets, you might try the springs off the station wagon versions of those vehicles. Just measure the length of the spring from center to center of the mounting bolts, and find one the same length in the wrecking yard, if you can. I did that on a 64 Ford Galaxy using the springs off a 63 station wagon, which were the same as a 1/2 ton pickup. Alternatives are: 1. you can add a leaf, carefully, or 2. add an overload spring, which is the most common solution.

If your vehicle is a 1994 or older is contains R12. 1995-96 It man contain R12 or R134. After 1996 it will contain R134. It is listed on a label near the compressor dryer. Engine size means nothing.
