Snake Saturday is a celebration of St. Patrick of the time he drove the snakes out of Ireland, always celebrated the Saturday before St. Patrick's day. It is a Kansas City holiday, with 2 parades. The main one in North Kansas City and another in the Brookside neighborhood in Kansas City, MO. It is a day long event of green and good times through out the city, rivaling the festivities of actual St. Patricks day itself.
