Don't place chopsticks upright in your bowl of rice, it's taboo. Slurping, talking with your mouth full and littering the table with meal refuse is acceptable in most situations. This is opposed to Chinese, where they would say 為甚麼 (ㄨㄟˋㄕㄣˊㄇㄜ˙/Wèishénme).
