Acetaminophen (Tylenol)

I have trouble sleeping while taking strattera, so I called my Doc and asked if I could take a Tylenol PM. She said yes, and I have been taking one a night and it works like a charm. I have only been on strattera for a week. I do take my strattera before I go to bed so that could be the problem. I started strattera one other time and took the first pill in the early afternoon and I had such head sensations that I quit it right away. Since then I realized I would probably have some side effects and am giving it another try. No head sensations if I take it in the evening. It seems to be starting to work.

No one here knows your child's medical history, and it would be dangerous and careless for anyone to give this question an answer. What may seem safe for even the general public may be disastrous for a few. I would not give the child anything without first consulting your doctor.

If the Tylenol (or acetaminophen) has a number (#1, 2, 3, or 4) it has increasing doses of codeine - Tylenol #1 has 8mg (with the 325mg acetaminophen), #2 has 15mg, #3 has 30mg (the most often used), and #4 has 60mg per tab. All are Controlled Substances in the U.S., Schedule III. Permission doesn't enter into it - they all require a prescription with DEA number, or in some states a special controlled drug form. They can be prescribed by phone, unlike Schedule II (morphine, Ritalin etc.). Canada allows their #1 version to be sold over the counter. Happy pain relief.

No you will just be causing your body harm if you take panadol for too long. You may evan cause irreversable damage to your liver and kidneys and still not lose weight so i just think you should have a really healthy diet and exercise for atleast 30minutes a day. Hope this helped:)

Ibuprofen will still work if you take it without food, but it is acidic and damages the lining of your stomach. Food dilutes it and prevents it causing damage. It doesn't have to be very much food, a little yoghurt or even a glass of milk will do.

Always swallow the tablet whole (the coating on the outside is meant to stay in place until your stomach acid breaks it down to protect your upper GI tract). You may also take it with food or milk to decrease GI symptoms. NEVER take more than the recommended dose as it may lead to vascular collapse, renal failure and hepatic seizure.
