easy i had one of them also..look under the passenger side of the car...best bet,,flip yourself upside down and look under the glovebox....youll see a the blower..it has three screws in it...first thing i suggest is disconnect the battery, then pull off that panel underneath the glovebox, remove screws (should be 3), one is near the wall of the car close to the pass door, unplug the blower and do the same in reverse..took me 20 minutes to R&R ..Zno
it sounds like your turn signal relay is going out. Replace that, and you should be good.
yes....the solenoid is attached but you can take it off by disconnecting the wire tha runs to the starter...and 2 bolts..rather easy took me 15 minutes to replace my solenoid.
with car on Press 1 and 6 at the same time, turn the radio on, then enter the 8 digit Serial Number exactly as it apears on the display.
It's behind the back seat on the driver's side.
There are 3 fuse/relay boxes in the engine compartment. (Standing in front of car facing the engine), there is one on the passenger-side to the rear of the engine compartment there is also one to the right mid-way back on driver's side. But the one that you need resides up front slighty off to the right just behind the radiator. This houses the horn relay.
Whatever you want, And if someone tells you that you can not change to A different brand of oil, BULL!, I have owned about 500 cars and I change to my favorite brand oil on every single one of them. Oil does not soak into metal, when you change the oil on A car that requires 5 quarts there is only about 1/15th of A cup that does not come out. It would not hurt to have the same amount of water put into the oil, So another oil will not matter either.
Postive battery cable should connect to the starter relay (solenoid)
Go to auto parts store & buy a rear view mirror attachment glue kit, and follow instruction included. HELPFULL Hint! Mark the outside window with a fine point marker, so you'll know where it goes on the inside.
The thermostat is just under the throttle assembly at the front of the engine. You will need to remove a black plastic shield in order to access it. Is it difficult to remove and replace? Should that job cost $100? Would a failing thermostat cause the radiator to crack, leak and overheat on my 1991 Acura?
When you open the hood from the front, the brake fluid reservoir is to your extreme right mounted at the top of the firewall between the engine and driver. My 1992 Legend LS manual recommends DOT 3 or DOT 4 but NOT DOT5. Of course they want you to use Genuine Honda Fluid. Topping up the fluid to between the max and min mark is what is needed. If the fluid is below the min mark, your brake system definitely needs attention. If the pads are nearly worn out the fluid level will drop below minimum. Don't top up the fluid in that case get the pads replaced. No offense, but for you to ask this question indicates that you have minimal knowledge of the system and would be better to get proper help. Good luck
I don't know how long this question ahs been posted, but I have the answer. It is located just to the left of the oil filter as you look under the car. Go to http://www.acura-legend.com (its a forum) and do a search for "how to replace a VSS" there is some great info and DIY's there. .
Go to your local library and look in the auto electrical books in the reference area. They are cataloged as Japaneese, Acura, 1989, legqend, A/C, coolant system, radiator, auxillary fan operation.
HERE IS YOUR ANSWER, PROVIDED BY SOMEONE YOU KNOW, FOR THE BENEFIT OF ACURA OWNERS. BEHIND THE GLOVEBOX, THERE'S A 3 INCH TALL COMPONENT ATTACHED BY SCREWS TO THE WALL. THIS IS AN AUTO TRANSISTOR USED FOR HEATER FAN SPEED. I GOT ONE FROM A JUNK DEALER. THIS THING SITS NEXT TO THE EVAPORATER WHERE ITS COOLED. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS SOMEONE. I PAID 30 FOR A USED ONE. A NEW ONE FROM THE DEALER ORDERED WOULD BE 156...GOOD JOB ! ....BB
The 1993 Acura Legend has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See Sources and Related Links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.
Anything is possible if you custom fabricate everything to fit. However, there is no direct-fit way to install a Legend C32A1 into an Accord. You are dealing with an inline engine (C32A1) and trying to install it into a car with a transverse engine.
I got my 1999 LS into the upper 120's a few times
same way any other bolt does. lefty loosey.
you need to be on level ground wait atleast a minute after shutting the vehicle off pull out the dipstick and wipe it off then re insert it back and pull back out for the second time the fluid should be between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick if it is low add a little at a time buy using a funnel until it is between the upper and lower marks on the dipstik
mixture of the radator fluid
This answer is possible but it is not correct and is a poor choice. There are a number of reasons why a car's engine overheats and the original question doesn't give enough information about the car and its overheating symptoms to deduce the answer to being a mixture of radiator fluid. It's not a good way to answer at all other than it being a guess.
The engine can overheat b/c the radiator is old and fill with rust/dus particles that clog it up and the engine as well as the hoses. It can overheats if there's a cooling fan and it's not being turned on at lower speed (bad relay switch or fan motor). It can overheat if it's low in coolant or that the water pump is not working well. It can overheat due to a bad/broken head gasket. It can overheat with trapped air in the cooling system that needs bleeding. When driving with AC on uphill for extended period of time, it can and prob. will overheat, etc. Many reasons for the overheat and to simply give the answer of mixing radiator is simply naive and dull. Do more research being being trigger happy with the fingers :)
On my '94, I went through dipstick. Make sure you get the HONDA/ACURA fluid from the dealer.
It would be your ignition lock not cathing and needs to be replaced.
I have 90 acura legend L. Problem is bad ignition switch. They are about
$70 at autozone.
Jack up the front of the car and support on jackstands and remove the front wheels. Remove some brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. The calipers are mounted on brackets which have two bolts attaching them to the steering knuckles. Remove the two small bolts attaching the calipers to the brackets and support them with wire, then remove the brackets. Remove two retaining screws from each rotor and remove the rotors. The retaining screws may require an impact type screwdriver to remove them and if the rotors are stuck they can be removed by threading two 10 mm bolts into threaded holes in the rotors. The rotors should be machined or replaced. Reverse to reassemble. After the caliper mounting brackets are in place install the pads on them and press the piston in on the caliper with a c-clamp and install it over them. The caliper bracket bolts are tight (I believe 80 ft lbs) but the small bolts holding on the calipers are ~20 ft lbs I think. Pump the brake pedal several times to seat the pads.
