Yes, they interact well in fact, but not in excess. I took 120 mg of Adderall during the course of 24 hours, and took two 25 mg phenergan half way through that. New comment from nursing student-- technically and literally narcotic means "to make one sleepy", so by definition adderall is NOT A narcotic, as it contains Amphetamines, which are a stimulant. However, adderall is listed by the FDA as a controlled substance under legislature. So when you go to the pharmacist he/she require identification. Comment from a Pharm.D-- To add to the previous comment- I am a Pharmacist, and at the pharmacy i work in we use a system to identify our presciptions that involves 6 numbers preceeded by either RX, N, or C (for example. C 999-999). Vicodin or Percocet, for example, would be given as N 999-999, denoting its status of a narcotic drug; Xanax, a contolled substance, would be given as C 999-999; Amoxil would be given as Rx 999-999. Most pharmacies use a silmilar system, but i have found that some pharmacies issue Adderall as N 999-999, and others issue it as C 999-999. But do not be confused by this, Adderall is, as stated before, a CONTROLLED substance, but not a narcotic by definition. Adderall consists of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine salts. Adderall is a Schedule II drug (which means it is highly addictive and widely abused, but has legitimate medical use in the US), and identification is required on ALL controlled subtances, narcotic or not. Drugs that are not classified as controlled substances (such as amoxicillin, synthroid, or ranitidine) usually do not require valid photo identification to be presented, but even though it isn't required by law, some pharmacies may still ask for ID due to company policy.

To tell you the truth it matters what kind of form the pill of Adderall it is. IR or instant release stays active in your system for 5 to 6 hours, these are the pills that are pink or orange depends who makes it. Adderall XR or extended release dissolve in your system two types of ways. One part of the pill acts fast while the other part is time released and the time release stays active in your system for up to 13 hours. For good measure use the quick release pills if available because they act quickly and only for a short period of time. Yes, Adderall shows up on a drug test. I know this from first hand experience. I was in the Air Force Reserves I had to take a drug test. I had been taking prescribed Adderall for a few months but didn't report it to the medical facility (it wasn't in my file). The following month, when I reported for duty, I was called into the commander's office. The commander started asking me questions about any drug use. Of course, I told him I did not use drugs. He then asked what all prescription medications I was taking. I rambled off the list of my prescriptions and he stopped me after I said Adderall. He then told me that I had tested positive for amphetamines the month before. I didn't get in too much trouble because I had a legitimate prescription, but I did get reprimanded for not reporting the medication as soon as I had been prescribed it. I have found that most drug tests include a test for "amphetamines." They do not specifically check for "Meth-amphetamines" or dextro-amphetamines, or any of the other specific types of amphetamines. I would suggest that before the drug test you let the testing official know that you are on prescription medications. If they ask what kind, tell them. If they don't ask, don't worry about it. Since our bodies are mostly protein, it is an important resource. It is the building block for most all body tissues and is involved in most of the body's metabolic processes. Some good proteins can be peanut butter, yogurt, cheese, nuts and seeds, egg whites (cooked), and soy bean products.

I would have to say that I have taken them together before and I experienced very odd side affects. Paranoia, bad Jitters, and increased heart rate.

I am 100% sure that those 2 combined FOR ME, do NOT mix well. I have taken both separately and years apart and both have worked well for separately.

So please make sure you consult a Doctor first, but even then they may still not be for sure if you will have side affects as I did. I mean a Doctor wrote those scripts for me at the same time. I had to decide between ADD and depression (not that there are not other drug alternatives), but I went with ADD and my depression slipped away.

You can't really, adderall causes insomnia; and if it's still active the only way you can sleep is to either take vitamin C which will cancel it out. You can also smoke a bowl or two and that'll normally help you out enough to pass out.

Shooting methylphenidate sustained release will directly introduce into your bloodstream additional chemicals that can cause blood clots. Most ADD medications are stimulants. There is one that I know of that is not and that medication is called Stratara. There may be others that are not but that is the one I am most familiar with. Medications like Adderall, Ritilin, Concerta, and others are stimulant's and should be prescribed by a doctor only after he has tested you for ADD or ADHD. If the doctor tells you you have ADD or ADHD ask him to go over you options as far as medications go to find out what medication may be the right one for you to take. You may have to try a few if others do not work for you and you are still having symptoms.

Should your doctor decide to put you on one of the medication's that is a stimulant you need to keep him or her informed as to how you are doing. Are you feeling better, are you nervous or shaky all the time, do you have problems sleeping and so on. Your doctor should go over all those things with you if he or she decides to put you on medication.

Also, if you are put on a stimulant the best thing to do is to not tell your friends, etc. Most, if not all these stimulant are abused by other people, many who do not have ADD or ADHD. I am not sure how old you are but I would just use your better judgment as to who you would let know if you do take the stimulant's.
