Adderall

Ephedra sinica or ephedra vulgaris. Also known as ma huang, these plants contain the natural forms of ephedrine in the highest abundance among their genus. The alkaloid derivatives of this plant were first isolated and synthesized by Nagai Nagayoshi in the late 1800's, and are very similar to amphetamine in structure and function. In fact, ephedrine and amphetamine belong to the same chemical class, the phenethylamines.

An important thing to remember, however, is that ma huang extract is not nearly as potent as the actual plant because it is extremely diluted. Also, you do not eat the plant itself - it must be boiled and strained into a tea. One must also remember that this is a very potent and dangerous substance in this form because there are about 9 forms of ephedrine simultaneously present in the plant itself. In order to make any practical use of this substance, the pure extract must be filtered to isolate the desired form of ephedrine. It really is more trouble, and danger, than it's worth.

For the sake of your health, do not use this substance as a substitute for adderall. Ephedrine is not very useful as a psychostimulant because it acts on norepinephrine and serotonin more than it does on dopamine. It is really only medically useful in the treatment of severe sinus blockages.

The short answer is yes, although I think only adults have been to space thus far, and most adult bodies have stopped growing in a lot of ways. So, we don't know whether weightlessness (or anything else) would affect the growth of a child or teenage body which hasn't stopped growing. You'd have to study those things over a long time to figure it out as well. Hopefully the space station will help us answer some questions.

One little thing to add. According to a book I've got laying around, some people may actually be measurably taller in space because of the lack of compression on their spine.

Correct, people's spines have grown by as much as 4 centimeters due to lack of compression..its also know that even working out people lose on average 1.5% of there bone density due to the constant freefalling note that even in space there is gravity and where the space station is the gravity is almost the same as it is were you stand...the reason satellites and the ISS travel at like 22,000mph is so as they fall they constantly round the earth so they never get any closer..this is called an orbit

If you have taken a total of 90 mg worth of Adderall/XR, the best advice that I could give you would be to "enjoy the ride."

OR GO TO THE HOSPITAL! If you've overdosed, you will know. Symptoms of an overdose include, but are not limited to: profuse sweating, vomiting, hallucinations. If you think you've taken too much, call a poison control hotline immediately. They will be more capable of helping you than some random dude on the internet. Don't take this lightly, Adderall can be dangerous in high doses.

Yes because Adderall XR stands for Adderall Extended Release. XR lasts longer though because the tiny beads in the XR capsules have sort of like a plastic cover over them which makes them longer to dissolve in your stomach...Its almost like a capsules in a capsule. HI i have been taking adderall xr for a few months now and have been on synthroid for several years and as my psychiatrist & reg doctor assured me there is no added or bad or side effect from taking both these drugs.

i even take them at the same time in AM now althoguh i used to wait the hour without eationg after synthroid and then eat something to take adderral when i wasnt sure how it would feel on the stomach but it seems fine.

But, r u talking about adderall? 600 mgg of it would definitely put u over tne edge and into the hospital or groubd. ive taken adderall for about 8 years and i have been prescribed up to 120 mg daily and played with that number, probably up to 210mg which is usually too much, bring it down to 11/2 xtra per day for nice effect

Because Adderall is presdcribed for the treatment of ADHD, depression, and narcolepsy. If you have either of these(or similar diseases) you will be prescribed Adderall. Xanax is prescribed for people with anxiety, insomnia and epilepsy.

So if you were for example a patient with ADHD and anxiety you may be prescribed Xanax and Adderall.

how does the extended release work? is it just released slowly? or does it go by concentration of the drug in your blood stream w. equilibrium?
