Concerta's main ingredient is methylphenidate and adderall is amphetamine. a long time ago I was prescribed Concerta, I had also been taking more than I was supposed to and ran out early. During this time I had also had been given a call back for a second interview with Walgreens. I was having bad withdrawls and asked my friend, who was prescribed adderall, to lend me a few until I got my next script. I went to the interview and got the job and had to take a drug screen! I wasn't worried because I thought the adderall would show up the same as concerta(possible meth) I waited anxiously to hear back from Walgreen's, and to my dismay it was the lab calling to tell me that I tested positive for amphetamines. The man asked me what meds I was taking and I told him Concerta, and he said that Concerta isn't amphetamine and asked if I was taking adderall. Than he asked what pharmacy I goto and like most people I go to Walgreen's. I finally told him the truth and was denied the job!! I WAS PISSED!!!! I had to tell my parents it was terrible.... SIDE NOTE: Newer Urine test are now testing for amphetamines to reduce confusion!!

As Far as clearing it out of your system if i eat licorice or any juices with citric or absorbic acid (vit C) I immediately get sleepy I know everyone is different but for me Citric acid kills the adderalls effects and in fact seems to do the opposite by over sedating me. As far as over the counter amphetamine I recommend 100-200 mg of 5-HTp taken before bed, the next day you may have great energy as well as in good mood. But do not take 5-Htp if you are on Lexapro or another SSRI, as the serotonin released may cause a rare problem called serotonin syndrome.

I don't see why not. Adderall's generic name is mixed amphetamine salt, which from what I understand is dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) and other various amphetamines combined w/ HCl (the "salt"). Any standard drug test will test for amphetamines. At any rate, the standard hair test tests the closest 1.5 " of hair to the scalp, thereby providing somewhere in the range of a 90-day drug history, variable depending on hair growth rates. I believe taking two adderalls a week would most likely put a user above the amphetamine cutoff level. If you are prescribed, you are fine. If not, I wouldn't say necessarily you're screwed, but you may want to do some more research.

I am not a doctor but, personally speaking, I would not place a seven year old on Adderall at all nonetheless at 30 mg. per day. Adderall presents significant cardiovascular risks to both adults and children and, according to the FDA, though rare, it can cause sudden death in children. Additionally, if she is on 30 mg. now, what is she going to do for the rest of her life after she has reached the maximum Adderall dose and it has stopped working.

Clinically, I am not sure what the answer is but am curious myself because I too have felt minor sharp pains in that area while taking the medication. They usually come while at rest but not while exerting.

Yes I am also I am sure there are a lot of others on that high dosage. It is unusual but some people have a fast metabolism and metabolize the pills fast, therefore build a tolerance and need higher doses. This is usually done gradually if an increase is needed.
