What you're talking about is basically a watered down or "kiddy" version of what's called a "speed ball", a real speed ball being heroin and cocaine. Whether it's bad or not just depends on whether you plan to do this a lot, if you are already an addict, plan to be or have moral or responsibility issues on the subject.

Firstly, I think any logical person can agree than proselytizing or telling someone what they "should" do (to be more like them) is useless in these internet forum things. These forums are not soapboxes.

Ok, here it is, I was a junky for quite a while and I can tell you that what you're talking about is dangerous. It's a lottery. I was, personally, always able to mix drugs in huge amounts and rarely overdosed in a serious way (you should know that any time a prescription drug gets you high because you took more than prescribed this is technically an overdose.) An addict or junky overdoses everyday, maybe all day. But I had friends who died from much smaller doses of the same drug cocktails I would use on a daily basis. So, while combining drugs with opposite highs can be a lot of fun you are basically playing Russian Roulette.

Without preaching, my advice is that you stay away from prescription pain pills unless you really need them and even then you should try hard to find another way. Not because it's "bad", because it can make it hard to have a happy and productive life. Besides that, be careful with the opiates and amphetamines and if you need both (for whatever your own reasons may be) keep your doses low or if you actually want to become an addict, ease your way into and prepare for a ride that ends in misery. That's not a caveat either, really. Without the misery that addiction wrought on me, (not to mention the first few euphoric and amazingly productive years before the devil came to collect what I owed so to speak) I'd have missed quite a few things that helped my work and my growth as a person. That might sound messed up but it's my truth. While I see how full of bull someone like Timothy Leary was, I can appreciate the basic shamanism that William Burroughs, John Frusciante, or (maybe) Daniel Pinchbeck engaged in and the realizations that would have been impossible without delving into those realms, that abyss.

I got way off your point, but my reason for doing this was that anyone wanting an answer to the question you asked is obviously flirting with a stint as an addict and this is what I know or think about that.

Lastly, if you are doing this type of thing and think you won't become addicted or have no metaphysical or personally experimental reasons to do something this hard to yourself, please don't kid yourself. You could get lucky, yes. Addiction is a genetic predisposition and some people can be weekend warriors. This I can't help with as it was all or nothing for me.

It depends on what dosage of each med you are taking. You should always ask your Doctor before mixing Rxs, because he/she knows your personal health history. If all else fails you can call poison control to find out if it's normally safe.

I am rxed 60 a day, but I am super ADHD, really if you did it all of a sudden, prob make you wig out. I pretty much can only think stright and be productive when I am on it. (Addicted you might say), but really I am fine, I do have trouble sleeping, but it comes with the terriorty. Just be careful because it can be dangerous to take to much of it.

What could cause a 2-3 hour delayed onset of effects from Adderall or Restoril? or any medication ?

I've been on the same medications and the same dosages for over a 2 years:

Cymbalta 60 mg - 7am

Adderall XR 20 mg - 7am

Adderall IR 10mg - 3pm

Restoril (temazapam) 30mg - 10pm

On Saturday's I sometimes take the Adderall later in the day, and skip the Restoril because I like to be awake later on the weekends I don't have work, but on the weekdays i stick to the above schedule.

My issue if that what seems like all of a sudden (about 2 weeks ago), I've noticed delayed reactions to my medications. For example, I normally start feeling the effect of the Adderall 30 to 60 minutes within taking it, but for the last 2 weeks it doesn't seem to kick in for almost 3 hours. As for the temazapam, I usually take it around 10pm, start getting sleepy around 11, and am totally passed out by 11:30. Nevertheless, the past 2 weeks i don't start feeling tired until around 12, and cant seem to get to sleep until the earliest 1pm.

Now i know both of these medications can loose their effectiveness over time but that does not seem to be the issue. The issue I am getting delayed reactions to them, and this did not seem to be something that slowly developed over time. And now because of all this my sleep pattern is a mess and i'm tired all the time when i'm not supposed to be, and wide awake why i should be tired.

could this be a metabolism issue? i haven't changed my exercise routine or diet, and i cant think of an other thing that would change my metabolism this drastically in such a short period of time

If you are taking adderall for the first time, I advise starting with a lower dose. While this dose is safe, it is best to start with the lowest effective dose possible as you will eventually need to increase your dosing with prolonged use. Consult with your physician if you have any concerns. If you do not have this prescribed, do not take it if you have any heart conditions. Do not mix with caffeine or other stimulants.

More than likely YES it will show up in a drug test. It takes about 72 hours before amphetamines are out of your system. This also applies to cocaine, opiates, MDMA, etc. since the metabolites of these drugs are water-soluble. This number is not set in stone and depends on your body and its ability to eliminate the drug. 10 mg is not a lot of adderall so may be it is not enough to induce a positive reading on a drug test. A: The "normal" effects on children when referring to Adderall should in fact be calming, and focusing. Your child shouldn't be an emotional wreck when taking Adderall. You need to talk to your doctor about the sudden abnormal side effects the Adderall is causing, because sometimes it causes suicidal thoughts and worsens unknown psychological illnesses. They will probably switch your child to a non-stimulant medication such as Strattera. And another thing perhaps the reason that the Adderall is acting adversely could be that he is also autistic. Because in that case the Adderall would definetly worsen the autism.

Realistically weight should not be as much of an issue as you might think with regards to a powerful psycho stimulant, such as Adderall. Even with an extremely long period of medication having occured, at the very most a single 30mg. It gives me more of the shivers rather than a twitch, but being a high stimulant amphetamine I could very well see if giving you the twitches. If they become to much, or to uncomfortable, then you may consider talking to your doctor.

Vigorous exercise works for me, therefore I try to wait until after I exercise before I take my afternoon dose. Don't know if the actual adderall "level" is lowered by exercise, all I know is that it is much less effective for me after exercising.
