Does adderall cause mood swings and anger issues My husband is on this and he is mad all the time and tells us we are stupid and not listening to him.?

Only a licensed doctor should answer questions about medicines and their potential.

But if you go around looking at forums and just by reading the notice to the drug, you'll see that mood swings, anxiety and irritability are usual side effects of the drug. Their intensity varies according to the dose, and changes from patient to patient.

Adderall uses amphetamines to provide it's results. Roughly speaking, according to a few psychiatrists, a mind with ADD is like a small ball going down too large a cylinder: its hard to control and goes all over the place. The "boost" adderall provides acts on the mind in such a way that the ball increases its side to fit the cylinder and instead is more controlled and goes down smoothly.

On the other hand, this boost tires the mind enormously, and for this reason enough sleep is necessary. As well, one must ensure to eat enough and in a balanced fashion. This provides the body with the nutrients and energy it requires to face the demands of the "boosted" mind. Finally, it is strongly recommended for one to exercise for the natural benefits it brings the brain and body in general.

If your husband continues to be so aggressive, tell his doctor and consider the option of seeing a psychiatrist to better understand what he needs. It could be that another drug is better adapted to his mind and needs.

How long will adderall vicodin xanax show up on a drug screen?

that was a question i had myself while going through random U/A's for the court system and i have come to find that if u drink water and eat non fatty food all of those things should be out of your system in about three days. the key is water and the right foods. No Mc Donalds, try eating fruit and veggies they are going to be the best way to naturally flush your system. Adderall is the first one to go out of your system then the others soon follow nothing should still be in your system for more then three days.

What can you mix with Vicodin to get higher?

you should only mix weed with vicodin. mixing with alcohol will cause liver damage. mixing with stimulants will lessen the effect. marijuana makes a perfect addition to the cozyness of vicodin. also benzodiaprines mix nicely but they will cause much more drowsniness than vicodin alone.

Why has the use of medication to treat children with ADHD created controversy?

The controversy surrounds the most common group of drugs used to treat ADHD, psychostimulants. Psychostimulants can be addictive and abused, and some groups have feared the unknown side effects they may have. However, most medical research has shown that treating a person who has ADHD with stimulants lowers their risk of drug abuse.

There is also controversy of the legimitacy of ADHD diagnoses. Some believe it is over-diagnosed while others believe that doctors are just more informed and able to recognize it.

I'm taking 30mg of Adderall EX and have not lost any weight Should i try to crush up the capsule?

This is a question that many people are asking. from my personal experience with taking Adderall XR, i found that it does infact speed up the metabolism in those who do not have a "so called" chemical imbalance in the brain. Adderall is a mixture of 4 very potent amphetamine salts causing very intense, prolonged, stimulation. ussualy the duration of AdderallXR 30mg capsules is 12hours of realease., now while i took it to loose weight, i was consuming much higher doses than 30mg (VERY DANGEROUS) ussually i would intake around 90 - 180mg at a time. but under my circumstance i am not out of shape. i consumed Adderall to make the weight limit for football. it is very hard to tell what your dose range should be. I'm not giving you the okay to extend the dose. preceed at your own risk. make sure you consume a good amount of water (Dont over do it, you can dround your self from the inside out) stay away from any extreme work outs or excessive heat & sweating. remember everybody is different. so expect differernt results than what you read. in 1 week of use i dropped 11lbs of body fat. 1.7lbs of waterweight. research it before you experiment. too high dose range can cause longterm adverse respitory and cardiovascular effects. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

Ephedra supplements showing a false drug test?

They shouldn't do. Only if you've taken Meth/Amphetamine will you fail... Ephedrine wouldn't show on a regular drug test, but to be on the safe side just take the pack of Ephedra supplement pills you have to the test to show the tester what you've been taking.

What is the best way to quit Adderall and prevent food binges and extreme fatigue?

QUITTING ADDERALL

WHENEVER SOMEONE has been on a medication, they should NEVER stop taking it abruptly. You need to "wean" yourself off of it gradually, under the supervision of the prescribing physician. They will give you a timetable to follow, taking a little less of it each day until you are off of it completely. Whether you want to stop taking it because you don't like the effects, or the doctor wants you to stop taking it, you must get off of it slowly. Especially with Adderall, which is classified as a stimulant (amphetamine). Stopping it "cold turkey" could have very unpleasant side effects. You may, as you mentioned, be very tired, irritable, unhappy, very hungry and sick to your stomach. Slowly discontinuing the medication will help lessen, if not prevent those feelings. Stopping the medication abruptly may cause some or all of these side effects, and possibly other unpleasant feelings. Stopping a medication very slowly, a little at a time, should prevent or at least greatly diminish the unpleasantness. Just make sure your doctor is aware that you are stopping. I hope this has helped answer your questions. GOOD LUCK! <<>>

I've been struggling with this battle for over 5 years. It's unlike other drugs that can be tapered down or slowly weaned off - DO NOT try to do that on your own. The safest approach is to see a Neurologist - long term Adderall use effects neurotransmitters and withdrawal can damage your cognitive skills in the future. Good luck!

How does Adderall help in attention deficit disorder treatment?

Adderall is a psychostimulant used to treat ADHD. The active ingredient in Adderall, amphetamine works by increasing the amount of dopamine available within the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in memory, focus, and motivation. By increasing dopamine within the brain, individuals with ADHD can experience greater focus and more impulse control.

I'm no docter, but i heard that if you have more calcium than magnesium in your diet than there's a higher chance of you developing an unwanted tolerance to your ADHD medication.

Daughter is bipolar and has add she takes lamictal for bipolar works well to stabilize her moods she still is unable to concentrate have tried adderall and Concerta with lamictal but causes irritable?

I would recommend trying other medications in place of Adderall / concerta (i.e. Wellbutrin, Strattera, etc). Stimulant medications are linked to irritability in some people.

How long do it for 40 mg of percocet to come out of your system?

Let me teach you how to calculate this value. Every drug has a value called a half-life. There are many different kinds of half-lives, but when we talk about half-life in general like this (removing the drug from the body), we are talking about "elimination" half-life. This is the value you see in data sheets on places like Wiki. The half-life means "The time taken for Half the drug to be eliminated". Anyway, the half-life of Oxycodone (Percocet) is 3 - 4.5 hours. Now a lot of factors can increase this value (eg. if you suffer from renal failure, liver issues etc.) But assuming the worst, and let's say you have taken 40mg of Oxycodone. This means: 4.5 hours later - 20mg remaining 9 hrs later - 10mg remaining 13.5 hrs later - 5mg 18 hrs - 2.5mg 22.5 hrs - 1.25mg So all in all, to be on the safe side, keep this value at 36 hours but allow a buffer of upto 48 hours to be on the safe side since there are other factors to consider like your dosage and body-weight. Hope this helps.

Is 90 mg of adderall xr an overdose?

there are just so many factors that go into it that a blanket question like that cannot be answered without more info. I take around 60mg a day and way 220lbs. I commonly take up to 120mg when I have a lot going on at work. I also have a tolerance from taking it for the past 10 years. But I highly dislike the people who say "omg yes that's way to much!! See a doctor" or the drug addicts who just took 300mg and are tweaking out writing rants about how messed up they are. Anyways, over in the UK they did an actual study on ppl overdosing on adderall and ended up coming to the ballpark method of for calculating the "fatal dose of adderall" it is 20-25 / your weight in kg.... So a person who ways 150lbs (assuming no pure existing medical conditions) would die around 1336mg of adderall ... Bam how's that for an objective answer.

Can you mix 15mg percocet 40mg adderall and alcohol?

NO. Under no circumstances should you ever do that. If you do you will most likely have a myocardial infarction a.k.a. heart attack.

The interaction was suspected in a case report of a 20-year-old male who experienced retrosternal chest pain shortly after drinking alcohol and taking a double dose of his amphetamine/dextroamphetamine medication (Adderall 15 mg X 2) to stay alert. The patient had no family history of cardiovascular diseases, and his past medical history was remarkable only for ADHD. Prior to the episode, the patient had not taken his medication for weeks and had been drinking whiskey the previous three nights before going to bed. The patient was diagnosed with myocardial infarction likely secondary to amphetamine-induced coronary vasospasm.

Can you mix Adderall with morphine sr?

No. To do so would be a lesser equivalent to mixing cocaine and heroin, also known as a "speed-ball." Speed-balls have been responsible for many deaths usually by failure of the heart. One famous example would be the death of Layne Staley original front-man for the band Alice in Chains.

The only way this mixture would be ok would be if the morphine were administered by a doctor with the doctor having full knowledge of the Adderall being in your system.
