AP Chemistry or AP biology in 12th grade?

This is the question:

Predict the cathode, anode, and net cell reactions and minimum potential difference for each of the following electrolytic cells.

Pt | Na(+), OH(-) | Pt

So far I have:

Na(+) + 1e- --> Na

What happens with the OH(-)? I assume I have to add H2O and OH(-) to balance out? This part is what is really confusing me.. I can't seem to get past this. Can anyone help?

What is the difference between psychology an AP psychology?

AP psychology goes more in depth than regular psychology, it is a college course so it is some what harder and there will be an exam. If you get a three or better most colleges will accept it and you can skip the first psych course

Is there an age or grade requirement for taking the AP psychology exam?

I believe the only requirement for taking the AP exam is that you are a high school student, but I could be wrong. As I recall, the form had bubble options for eighth grade students as well.

In addition, you don't have to take the AP Psychology course to take the exam, though it's highly recommended. There are books available for study, but the information in them is not as in-depth.

If you're a high school student, talk to your school's AP Coordinator about the requirements of the exam. If you're in college already, I suggest just taking a Psych 101 course, but you still might be able to test out of it. Visit the college board's site and look under AP for more information.

What colleges accept advanced placement scores instead of sat?

No colleges accept AP scores instead of SAT scores. This is because the tests do not measure the same things.

The SAT measures the likelihood that a student will do well in college, but is not accepted as college credit. The AP is used to provide actual college credit, but does not predict college success.

Chapter 8 honors geometry test answers?

What is considered a passing score on an Advanced placement exam?

Your question isn't the real issue with AP courses taken by high school students. The real issue is whether or not your intended college or university accepts AP credits, and if so, what is their specific policy about AP credits. Specifically, a "passing score" depends on 1) the school you wish to attend, and 2) the subject matter. Consider Yale University, and the Math AP. 1 credit for 5 on AB Calculus AP test. No credit for a 4. No credit for a 3. Translation at Yale? 1 credit for MATH 115a or b for a 5. In general, you will need a exam grade of at least a 3 for a "passing score". But, as I pointed out, if you choose a school like Yale you have to figure you will need a 5. Check the college you wish to attend before getting disappointed. Sincerely, HM

AP classes hard?

It depends what ap class you are taking. I mean some are challenging and others don't have you do any work. It just depends. Ap classes are not hard you just have to put in the time and work hard in order to pass. If you do your homework and do anything you can to understand the material you can easily pass the class and pass the ap test. I know this because I am in a ap euro class and at first it was challenging. I was doing so bad that my teacher even told me that he thought it would be better for me to transfer to a regular class than to stay in his. However I told him no and I did all my homework and even went into tutoring for some extra help in understand the material i was reading about. So now I am passing the class with a B.

Which is easier AP calculus or AP statistics?

Source: I'm currently enrolled in both.

AP Stats: The most boring class you will ever take (although AP US History comes close). However, it is incredibly easy. To the point that you may wonder if you have accidentally stumbled into the CP Stats class by accident. Also rumored to be the easiest AP exam. If you don't perish of sheer, unadulterated boredom.

AP Calc: This class is not boring. Au contraire, it is quite interesting. (I usually dislike math, and I'm intrigued). But of course it too has a caveat: it is reasonably difficult. As in you actually have to pay attention, and possibly do some of the homework. If you feel comfortable with math (esp. those trigonometry skills!) take it.
