The three main functions of the evaporator are to:
a. absorb heat from the medium being cooled.
b. allow the heat to boil off the liquid refrigerant to a vapor
c. allow the heat to superheat the refrigerant vapor
SAE J2210 or SAE J2788
the sys has too much lubricant
Directly, probably not. Indirectly, yes. Too much refrigerant, and you get too much system pressure, a low superheat, and it can impede the flow of PAG oil through the system. More the same with too little refrigerant. If you're having to recharge your system, it means you have a leak somewhere, and the problem will be recurring if you don't fix it.
