Can parasites transfer from one person to another?
Very definitely YES! There are more parasites that can be transmitted from one person to another than you would probably like to think about!
A few choice internal parasites:
Amoeba = a microscopic (Protist) that causes Amoebic dysentery. Death from diarrhea is not pleasant.
Ascaris = a large, unpleasant intestinal roundworm. Spread by poor sanitation and hygiene.
Hookworm = another intestinal roundworm, but not as large as Ascaris. Spread the same way.
Tapeworm: potentially several feet long, this flat, segmented worm takes up residence in your intestine and eats what you eat. Easily "broken", each segment is capable of infecting someone else, or re-infecting you if you have poor hygiene.
and... what is probably the most deadly organism on the planet...
Plasmodium falciparum..... a parasitic protist (microscopic "animal") that causes malaria. It kills tens of thousands of the world's poorest people every year!
And then of course there are ectoparasites- they live outside of your body- head lice, scabies, bedbugs, chiggers, etc.
When cats eat flea eggs do they hatch into worms?
Yes....By swallowing a flea infected with a tapeworm larvae.
This process begins when tapeworm eggs are swallowed by flea larvae (an immature stage of the flea). Contact between flea larvae and tapeworm eggs is thought to occur most frequently in contaminated bedding or carpet.
Next, the pet chews or licks its skin as a flea bites; the flea is then swallowed. As the flea is digested within the pet's intestine, the tapeworm hatches and anchors itself to the intestinal lining.
Is a grasshopper a parasite or host?

How do you keep a dog's stool specimen for testing for worms?
Most vets will just take a sample while in the office by just scraping your dog's bum, but if your vet wants an entire sample, I would just collect it in a plastic bag and bring it in. I would recommend you bring it in within an hour or so to ensure it is fresh enough for testing.

How much vinegar to use to kill worms in dogs?
It is better just to go to the veterinary supply store, or feed store and pick up some wormer. Or take the dog to the vet. I don't know how you can make a dog eat enough vinegar to kill worms, and I can only imagine that it would not be healthy for the rest of the dog.

Eventually from malnutrition and starvation. The worms rob the host of nutrients.

Cats can have many different digestive parasites. They can have tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms, pinworms, and like dogs, cats can have heartworms. All of these can be treated and removed through veterinary care, but heartworms are very difficult to remove. In any of these, if left untreated, a cat can die.
Are pinworms vulnerable to disinfectant?
Yes, pinworms are vulnerable to disinfectants, particularly those that contain bleach or other strong cleaning agents. These disinfectants can kill pinworm eggs on surfaces, which is crucial for preventing reinfection. Regular cleaning of surfaces, especially in areas like bathrooms and bedrooms, can help control pinworm spread. However, it's also important to practice good hygiene, such as frequent handwashing, to reduce the risk of infection.

What are the symptoms of lung worm in humans?
One of the most common symptoms of lung flukes is coughing, which may begin as a dry heaving cough and progress to severe coughing with red flakes of blood.
Patients may notice severe chest and abdominal pain as a result of inflammation. They may attribute this pain to coughing when it is fact a result of the parasitic infestation.
Although many lung parasite infections go unnoticed, more severe cases may result in a low- to high-grade fever.
Lung flukes may cause diarrhea. One way to detect lung flukes is to test feces of patients who display symptoms; they often travel into the intestines and make their way out of the body.
Those who suffer from frequent cases of pneumonia and bronchitis might consider being tested for lung parasites, which often contribute to the development of these conditions. They can also contribute to the development of lung abscesses.

Will ciprofloxacin kill parasites?
I have been affected with an illness brought on by birdmites that were nesting in the ceiling at an apartment where I used to live. I suffered sic years listening to doctors telling me I'm crazy, I did these sores myself by scratching, etc. The list is long. My ears were clogged with no-see-ums and salt and peper size parasites, so I went to my ENT. He told me I had cystitis. He looked at me for about half a second and knew what it was. I knew this was a secondary infection due to the parasites that were still burrowing under my skin. He prescribed Ciprofloxacin and a pain medicine for my infected ears and nasal passages.
I started 500mg of ciprofloxacin twice a day four days ago. The first pill was effective. The crawling started right away and the scabs were healing super-fast. The second dose was just as effective. Today it is still effective and I am healing so fast. I hardly feel the things anymore. They're running away and dying quickly.
I've read the reviews about this drug and really don't care about the side effects. It's working for me. My back did blister badly but that meant it was working correctly. People call it an al;lergic reaction. Maybe -- however I am convinced that the pimpled blisters are bacteria that needed to be expelledc from my body. They healed within 2 days.
Ciprofloxacin makes your skin dry and flaky. Not too big of a problem. Once you are done purging the garbage out of your body, you can see the difference. This stuff is powerful. The side effects went away after the 2nd dose. My scalp feels better too. The boils under the skin (cysts) are gone already.
I feel so much better -- human again. I feel some minor skin crwl senasations and my ears still need to be cleaned out by the ENT doctor tomorrow. He had to treat the cystitis first. I read somewhere that a bug bite can cauise cystitis. It all comes together now in my situation. I should be clear of this by 2 weeks however I am going to refill the other 2 weeks prescription for peace of mind. Six years is a long time to suffere this way. The parasites hate this stuff. It is made with hydrochloride sodium (salt, I suppose). Salt kills parasites. What better way than to do it from the inside as opposed to the skin creams. There is no better way. They are drinking my salty blood and it's killing them.
My answer to the question is "yes". Good luck getting a doctor to understand the parasite issue though. Be aware of abandoned birds nests near your homes and windows. Call an exterminator to get rid of them.
My bosses ex-wife was opening a chimney shute and a bords nest fell, a cloud of dust flew up in her face. She has what I have. She went through the same things I did. A lot of people think this is Morgellons. It's bird mites. This Cipro seems to be the cure in my case.
Sincerely,
Annie

Has anyone every experienced an involuntary anal sphincter twitching or know what causes it?
No idea what causes it, but I saw other answers that said it might be a pinched nerve. Someone else phrased it as similar to an eye twitch which I used to get. The twitching eye went away eventually on it's own, so might just have to put up with it until it goes away.
