That all depends on what animal you are referring to. Every species have different behaviours that need to be understood and interpreted correctly in order to not only correctly, but safely handle animals. It is best to start doing some reading on the various behaviours of animals (or at least those you are interested in) to get a handle on what to expect and how to act and react around them.

No animals should be tested on i don't care if they hurt you or not, and its 99.5% gets neglected.

Many, possibly even most, people would say no. However, there's a fairly wide range of opinion on what exactly constitutes "cruelty".
For example, is it "cruel" to conduct medical experiments on animals to save human lives? How about for non-life-threatening diseases/disorders? How about for cosmetics? Is it cruel to hunt animals for sport? For food? How about raising animals for food, or fur, or leather? Is it okay if the animals are treated well during their lives and killed as painlessly as possible, or is that still cruel?
On the one hand you've got groups like PETA; on the other you've got people that don't see anything wrong with, say, bullfighting. Or dogfighting.
In short: what you mean by cruelty may be quite different from what someone else means by cruelty, so a simple, short answer doesn't really tell you much. (Well, unless the answer is "Go go animal cruelty yay!" in which case it doesn't matter a lot exactly where the line between cruel/not-cruel gets drawn.)

you spelled arguments wrong! anyway, there are many arguments against animal testing. people can use skin cells, computer testing, or non animal models. animal testing needs to be stopped! it is wrong. there are more accurate and humane answers for testing products!!!

Testing Beauty products on third world slave children is an alternative. It could also be a campaign, like one of them could be the 'winner' and get a week long trip, all expenses paid vacation to New York City. Test on Humans who are willing to take the risk, or risk the pain however that could get rather expensive as the results in these experiments are usually known before the experiment is done.

Well firstly because it proves nothing if you test on an animal. There is a 34 percent chance that what will happen on the animal will happen to a human being. They would be better off flipping a coin. Secondly no living being should be hurt/die/killed for the sake of todays take on "beauty", finally there is simply no reason to. There are many alternatives out there then burning off the cornea of a bunny's eye.

No but some labs do so it might be a yes A lot of make up companies do use animals to test their products, such as Herbal Essences who do hair products use animals. But over the past few years there are increasing amounts of companies that are against animal testing, and they usually advertise it on the label on the back for instance.

Yes. Depending on what country you live in. In my country, Wales, UK, it is illegal. In the US it is illegal, but that sadly does not stop it happening. In 2007 police in the US were shocked to find that stolen pets were used as 'bait' for the increasingly aggressive fighter dogs and the pets were often mauled and/or killed. A good programme to watch to understand more of this (not sure if it would be broad casted where you are) is My Dog Is A Weapon. It outlines the problem of dog fighting and how some horrid people actually abuse their dogs so that they are aggressive, then use them on the streets instead of knives. The awful thing about this is that some innocent child could stroke it, and it could lash out at them. Or a puppy (like my one) could bound over to say hello like pups usually do, and then it could mistake it for one of the dogs it fights with. Then you have to put the aggressive (although innocent; it is entirely the owner's fault) dog down and your puppy is mauled if not dead.

It just goes to show that you have to be careful with other dogs. You just don't know if they will lash out.

PETA also has activists in most places that hold protests and organize drives to promote the animal liberation agenda.

There are actually some pros for this. Animal testing saves alot of money for the government. Also, many animals have similar DNA to humans, so scientists test on these animals instead of on us.

Now, just bcuz i have pros, duznt mean that i support it.

My argue ment is, that if animals have such similar DNA, shouldn't they be treated just like us? i mean, im not saying that a pet should havr their own house, and furniture to match (WHICH THEY SHUD!) im just saying that if scientists cant test on humans, they shouldn't test on animals.

Another person's thoughts- The pros of other animal abuse don't always have to be from just animal experimentation. It can also be from basic hurting of the animal. The animal abuse topic is not just from one thing exactly. Depriving of food, water, or shelter can also be a form of animal abuse. There might be some pros with hurting animals. Although I don't like the thought of hurting animals because it is a terrible and offensive crime, it does get rid of anger. But yet again I do NOT think you should do it. Point is, animal abuse is wrong and it hurts the lives of animals. Humans are animals and obviously caring for dogs, cats and other animals would be just the same as when you hurt a human as well.

There does not appear to be any limit at the current time, although suburbs certainly have their own regulations. Chicago has been considering a 4 or 5 dog limit for several years.

We have reached a stage in some society's where the causing of unnecessary suffering to animals is frowned upon and those that cause it are penalized. However too many people like to eat meat to ban the killing of animals altogether.
