Is the use of animal research justified?

sometime scientist uses animals (i think) but i prefer not to use an animals as an experiment its because if your testing a liquid or a drink that u had put something (like pills)and theres no one but you to try it and then u actually test it on your dog or cat it might die (its just my opinion)(as long as you know its safe!)

NO NO NO Animals should never be used for any experiments. Use Humans instead.

Should a horse have access to fresh clean water all the times?

If you plan on keeping the horse alive you want that. We keep two buckets in each stall so that we don't have to go out after 6 PM for another fill.

Failing to do so increases the chances for your horse getting Colic. That is expensive if your horse is not caught right away and chances are not great that your horse will make it.

It is easier to give them enough water.

How many dogs die every year?

It is pretty scary... In the millions... Approximately 6.2 millions of dogs die a year and 3.8 million of those dogs die in homes.. The death rate per year would be impossible to find but I can say that about 6 million is as good as it gets.

More like 30 million.

About 6 million dogs are put down in shelters a year alone. This is not counting the natural deaths, deaths from neglect, car and other accidents, intentional killings (dog fighting, just for the hell of it things, etc.), and the people who let their mutts breed and breed, then throw the litter in the garbage or lake/river. They may keep one, when the one they have is ready to die, to continue the cycle.

How many animals die because of paper?

Too much pollution, it must be stopped! There is no precise number on how many animals are killed because absent-minded, cruel-hearted humans are chopping down their land! I would say thousands, possibly even millions! Especially monkeys and birds are losing their homes! The poor animals! And look at our riches! Because there are so many humans over populating the earth and not enough Animals and trees, it causes far too much pollution! Whatever has a start must have an end. We will get what we deserve...eventually.

What do fur factories do to their animals?

Many animals suffer from close confinement, often developing self-mutilating behaviors, they also exhibit distressed neurotic behaviors such as pacing back and forth in their cages. Animals live in filth on fur farms and are often victims of disease and pests. Fur farm animals are fed meat by-products which are often which are considered unfit even for the pet food industry. There are no regulations protecting animals on fur ranches. Cages are typically kept in open sheds that provide little protection from wind, cold, or heat. Many animals lie in their fecal matter or to have toes frozen to cold wire mesh during winter. Fleas, ticks, lice, and other insects are attracted by the piles of excrement under cages, often left for months, long enough for insects to infest the animals. To kill the animals on fur farms without damaging their fur may be gassed, electrocuted, poisoned with strychnine, or have their necks snapped. These methods are not 100 percent effective and some animals "wake up" while being skinned.

Us humans harm the animals shelter (home) by cutting down trees that birds live in, and many other animals live in the woods or forests that we cut down. So therefore we are harming their shelter (home).

Why do horses eat tree bark?

Yes. Horses have been known to eat tree bark, but the reasons they eat it are because there is little or no food to eat, or they are bored.

The reasons that horses eat bark or chew bark off trees is not solely because they lack food or have nothing to eat, there is a multitude of explanations, although, if they are starving they will resort to what is necessary to survive.

Another possibility is that the horses in question could potentially be lacking some form of nutrition (i.e. salt/minerals) which can be location dependant. Some where I have read, but check with your local vet, that it could be related to copper deficiencies. In most cases, given that the horse is fed properly, it has to do with boredom.

What happens to people that mistreat there animals?

kill them but I don't like saying that so im sorry if you don't like what I have just said but its true and REALLY sad :(

This is another inaccurate answer to a complicated question and it is certainly not the right thing to do. If someone is harming their pets or stray animals, stop them and/or call the appropriate animal services. Harming an animal is a horrible offence but it is NOT punishable by death and the notion of that is naive and frankly sickening.

Should people go to jail when they abuse or abandon their pets?

Go To Jail for Mistreating Animals? YES most definatley. Animals depend on us for everything just as a child does. Being inhumane to either an animal or people is just wrong.

  • While it is wrong to mistreat other living beings, not every offense of inhumane treatment of animals should be punishable with serving time in jail. Also, any act of cruelty that is brought against a person should be held to the highest level of proof. In cases of animal cruelty and abuse, there are times when the charges do not reflect the truth of how the animal was treated, and people are sent to jail and their lives are ruined based on lies. Deb Animals are not completely helpless but they need us in the same sense that we need them. Which is ALOT!

Why is captivity wrong?

People believe that captivity is wrong because the animals should not be in contact with humans and they should be with ther own species.

Why do companies test on animals?

This has been a great debate previously. I am against testing on animals because it has been proved ineffective regarding drugs, etc. Animals are not human beings. I gave an alternative which was used in the past (not sure if they still use it) that convicts have the right (not forced) to give back to society and basically be guinea pigs for certain medications. The DNA of animals is far different than humans.

What level of government is responsible for dealing with animal cruelty?

It is those that take part in it that are responsible for it, not any level of government.

If there is legislation against it in your country then it could be local or national. You would need to check the specifics where you live.

Why animal testing is important?

animal testing is important because it tests products so people do not get sick from them. one example is makeup. they put it in animals mouths and eyes to figure out if it is safe or not. other alternatives however are computer research, skin cells, and non animal models.

What kind of diseases do puppy mills have?

The conditions in a puppy mill is awful. Small wired cages are stacked on top of each other holding about 5 dogs in one tiny size cages. The dog's paws are swollen from trying to pull their paws free. Some dogs are missing their paws from chewing their paws off to be free. This happens because there isn't a solid flooring. Plus since the cages are stacked on top of each other all of their droppings fall onto an other dog that is underneath and it collects on the bottom and leaves an bad smelling stench. The law says to own a puppy mill the dogs must have a roof over their heads to protect them from the bad weather, food and water. So the owners don't give them the best food and water. The dog food their doesn't have much vitamins or the things they need to have a healthy dog. Another thing is dogs there are in bad conditions. They are covered in cuts and bite marks. They have cuts from scratching bites from fleas and ticks. They have bites from the other dogs that bite when the other dogs get in the way or from fitting over the food. It is awful when you see the dogs in the puppy mill. Written by Annesa

Killing another human is not hunting. (Although sometimes some people have hunted others)

Murder is the word we use when one human kills another human.
