Yes, ibuprofen and most "NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents) like naproxen can be taken with the majority of antihypertensive agents, though some nephrologists feel that they should be avoided or only used occasionally along with "ACE-inhibitor" blood pressure medications like Capoten, Altace, Cozaar, Zestril due to their having a similar pathway of excretion from the body.

You need to split the ibuprofen and the paracetamol by about 3 hours. These are both pain medicines - you don't want to take a bunch of pain medicines together. It is quite save, however, to take one, wait 3 hours, then switch and take the other. You can keep switching back and forth in this way until you feel better.

The codeine I would be more careful with - it is OK to take this with one or the other of the other two drugs, but I would not take codeine any closer than every 4 hours.

The half-life of ibuprofen is approximately 2 hours. This means that after 2 hours, only half of the active dose is still present in your system. After 6 hours (3 half-lives) there's 1/8th left of the original dose in your system, which is not enough to perceive any effects. After one day (12 half-lives) there's only 1/4096th left, or practically none.

I am currently on the medrol dose pack and my doctor specifically said not to take ibuprofen with it.

You can take Tylenol or hydrocodone.

Yes if you take too many (overdose) it can kill you. It can seriously harm your liver. NEVER TAKE MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE!!!!! It is one of the worst over the counter pain killers to O.D. on.

this depends on the brand and the dosage of the tablet in question. Usually dosage of such medications is given in milligrams (mgs), which is also a measurement of mass. So whatever dosage it says on the bottle is roughly equivalent to the mass of a tablet, give or take a few mgs.-

yes you can as diclofenac is not paracetamol based. Although take care as they are both stong painkillers in their own right

I have been taoering off of benzodiazepines and have noticed that taking 2 aspirins or tylenol will make me sleep much better. I am still trying to find out the reason but have done this about 5 times now. I live in Texas and this is cedar fever time and I get headsches at night so found this out by accident. It isn't tylenol pm, just plain tylenol or aspirin.

No, you shouldn't. Both are NSAIDS ( non-steroidal anti-inflammoratories) and taken together will increase risk of bleeding ulcers and can be hard on your liver.

While an enteric aspirin can be crushed it is not recommended. Enteric coated aspirin is usually time release. Crushing time release aspirin can cause one to overdose as the aspirin is released into the system all at once.
