I take 50mg Zoloft and 37.5 of Wellbutrin together every morning. It doesnt seem to have any additional side effects taking them at the same time.

You can take these together. Remember that your mood disorder makes you more likely to become addicted to things. Be extra careful taking the narcotics. Take them just as the doctor said and do not take extra.

I have been taking lexapro for two years and have finally decided to stop. The tapering off process has been difficult with the dizziness and all..my pharmacist recommended stemetil and it is really helping with the dizziness and brain zaps associated with tapering off of the dreaded lexapro!!

i currently take 1 60 mg cymbalta once daily in morning with breakfast and 1 10 mg flexeril (3x daily) spread throughout the day. i am also under a physicians care. so id say short term yes, idk about long term. talk to your doctor

Unfortunately I am not familiar with Wellbutrin. But I would recommend that you speak to your prescriber or pharmacist before taking prescribed medication with birth control.

If it is regular xanax yes you can but check with your pharmacist 1st. But if it is Xanax XR or ER you can not. XR/ER stands for extended release. Extended-release medications should never be cut, chewed, crushed or dissolved. In most cases, tampering with the tablet damages the mechanism by which the medication is released and you could end up with an overdose because too much is released into your system at once

I have been on citalopram for about 14 years (since the age of 9) and recently was prescribed adderall in may 2011. (I say recent because it's the latest medication I've been put on, even though it's almost been a year).

I was always concerned about the citalopram having been on it so long and such a large dose (80mg/day) and I have been told by multiple doctors and pharmacists that it is one of the longest used and safest SSRI's available compared to the others. I use it to treat anxiety and thrichotilomania (compulsive hair pulling).

I read research on adderall helping relieve anxiety due to ADHD/ADD going untreated (I was diagnosed around the age of 5 with ADD) and never treated, which could in theory helped aid in the hair pulling to start along with severe anxiety ect.

LONG story short, I have yet to find a doctor who is concerned about the two being mixed. One regulates a chemical imbalance while the other stimulates a particular area of the brain.

Will your dosage need to be adjusted? That I don't know - I'm not a doctor, I just know what they tell me. I do know that since being on adderall I have not had to take my xanex or have not had panic attacks or large hair pulling bouts because of the stress that has been taken away from treating my adhd/add. 90% of my anxiety was from not being able to function well enough in college and pre college - focus on anything important - and was going through jobs like air. I was tested and in the top 1% of worse case ADHD in adults though - so it makes sense it's helping me so much.

To say the least it's worth trying them together with doctors consent - if you are taking the citalopram for the similar reasons as I. I don't know if I will be able to stop taking it or lower the dosage some day, but treating the ADHD has improved the quality of my life 200% - sad I waited until I was 24, lol, but better late than never.

Prozac and marijuana are not a harmful combination; you won't feel any different and it does not harm you like alcohol and Prozac do. Marijuana can make you very paranoid, which is bad for people taking Prozac for anxiety disorders, but the feeling goes away if it comes at all, so I would say you should be fine.

Actually the first person to answer your question is correct. To feel the effects of medicines like Prozac, Celexa, a generic form, or Citalopram, another generic form, you must take the medicine everyday for at two weeks so the SSRI's or the serotonin-specific reuptake inhibitors build up enough in your brain to help relieve mild anxiety. Just taking a pill of Prozac and smoking weed will not cause horriffying effects

The most important thing you need to understand is that Prozac dosage has to be evaluated almost constantly for the first 8 weeks or so after starting it or altering the dosage. What this means for your question about mixing cannabis with it is that you certainly should not take cannabis for that 8 week period. Also keep in mind that during or even at the end of that 8 week period your doctor may want to alter the dosage. This is actually quite common and what that means is it could be quite a while before you can think about taking cannabis after starting out on Prozac.

However, I guess part of the answer would have to include the fact that you should never take Prozac with alcohol as this can cause serious anger problems. So if you have been on your dosage for more than 8 weeks and are thinking of taking cannabis very rarely as an alternative to alcohol you might like to try a very small amount to see how it goes. But I must re state that this should never be done within the first 8 weeks of a new dosage.

Keep in mind that you started on Prozac due to problems being able to cope in society and that if your dosage is correct you should not really need another drug to have a good time any more. You might find a soft non-alcoholic drink would be a better option at parties. Get the dosage of Prozac right and you should be both confident and happy, this is why it is important not to mess with other drugs. It is hard to correctly gauge your dosage when your messing up your mind using other stuff.

There are no direct physical dangers from mixing Zoloft and Ecstasy (MDMA). Zoloft (or to use its chemical name, Sertraline) is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), the same class of anti-depressants as Prozac (Flouxetine), Celexa(Citalopram Hydrobromide), Luvox (Fluvoxamine), and Paxil (Paroxetine). These chemicals will actually reduce or even completely eliminate the effects of Ecstasy when the two are taken together. Also Celexa in particular is sometimes used to treat cocaine-dependency and may reduce cocaine effects and craving.

What can be done to stop biting a tongue in a persons sleep will depend on the reason for biting the tongue. If it is because of seizures, medications will need to be taken. Bruxism is another causes and a dental plate can be made to stop the tongue biting. Other disorders may be the issue and might need addressed. Talk to a doctor to find the actual cause of the tongue biting.

I'm not much of a specialist here, but it looks like these two have somewhat opposite effects. Ginseng ramps you up while an antidepressant calms you down. I wouldn't do that.

It doesn't matter but I find that the morning is easier because sometimes when you take it in the night it can feel as if the capsule is stuck in your throat and you may even burp up the powder within

Yes! I take Prozak in the morning and seroquel at night. I was suffering from PTSD and couldn't sleep. I was also depressed so I was taking Prozak. And it perked me right up. I feel so "normal" again...back to the ole me!! :) I've lost 30 lbs and got a job promotion, all because I wasn't "tripping out" on my past anymore.... LOL!!

A definite yes. I am currently taking seroquel and zyprexa and i just talked to the pharmacist to see if i can take trazadone with these to help me sleep. He assured me the combination is fine.
