This exact thing happened to me today. (I'm writing because I "googled" it while I was panicking and couldn't find any posts with this happening to someone else).

I took one 300mg table of Welbutrin at 7 in the morning and forgot I had taken it. I took another at 10 am thinking I missed the first dose and immediately felt weird. I was sitting at the computer and all of a sudden felt out of control or high. I would touch my arms and they felt numb (I could feel the touch but it was like when Novocain starts to wear off at the dentist and you can only feel a little sensation.) Others symptoms were heavy/numb feeling in my arms and legs, panic/anxiety, and like I was going to pass out at any second. I tried to make myself vomit so the pill would be out of my system but that didn't work. I was scared that I would pass out with my two young kids at home and nobody would know. (My husband came home from work immediately). I called both the pharmacist and the doctor and talked to them about it. They said that 600mg taken by mistake is not considered an overdose and that it wasn't worth a trip to the ER. They said I would feel funny for awhile because the pills were extended release, but eventually it would go away. Instant relief. I thought I was going to have a seizure or worse - die. The doctor did tell me to drink whole milk because it had a high fat content, and it would slow the absorption into my small intestine (??). This evening I am feeling much better but still have limited sensation in my hands and feel a little like loopy. I lived through it by just riding it out. Just wanted to post in case this same thing happens to somebody else. I would call your doctor immediately just the same.

Well, I don't know why the doctors told you that 600mg wasn't an overdose, because everything above 450 is. Even given prescribed amounts of either 150, 300, or 450, you are at a high risk for seizure. I took ... I don't know. It was more than 600, but I still had a grand mal seizure and am lucky to be alive. Another time I took just 600 and had a series of petit mal seizures, almost fell down stairs. Luckily I'm at home still so my parents could watch me, plus I'm on so many antidepressants they know it's something. I still had to take charcoal that second time around. First time I just didn't know what the seizure was so I ignored it and was messed up mentally for weeks.

If any symptoms like hearing voices, imagining people, paranoia, irrational thoughts you can't shake, inability to speak or walk normally occur... go to the doctor's immediately. Just say you overdosed on Wellbutrin. They know it's a highly toxic drug; that's why it was taken off the market when it came out and they had to cut the doses but still every dose has a warning that it often leads to seizures if not taken correctly.

I took 900 mg once, and it totally messed me up. I felt like I couldn't choke, it even happened to me when i took 600. I took both doses by mistake, normally I just dump the pills out and feel around for the amount I need, but one time I counted like twice and it came out terrible. I didn't have a seizure or anything, but you definitely get a choking feeling in your throat that doesn't go away for days, and possibly a prolonged cough.

Phenylephrine is in some Hemorrhoidal ointments with a warning to check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking depression medications. I take Bupropion (Wellbutrin).

Today I woke from a nap breathing heavily and feeling weak and shaky. May or may not be related, but I will take this issue to my local pharmacist and see what they say.

Herbal supplements generally don't work as well as SSRI antidepressants like Lexapro because they are not specifically formulated to help the neurotransmitters in the brain.

However, if you are not on ANY psychotropic drug, you can try St. John's Wort. It supposedly improves mood. However, again, don't take it if you are taking any other psychotropic drug!!!!

I suggest if you miss two doses that you just take one of the normal doses as soon as possible. I am currently on 5 mg Lexapro once daily and I have missed my medication before. Never take two simultaneously and understand that this drug works collectively over the days you have taken it. The half-life of this medication is longer than most medications. In simpler terms, this means that the medication works by building up in your system and missing is dose or two will not have tremendous impact or really "mess" you up. Just take your dose as soon as you can! [: It is said that those who have been on it long term will experience withdrawal but because of the mechanisms of this medication, it can often take up to 10 days for the withdrawal symptoms to appear since it stays in the system for so long and builds up. This all depends on metabolism. You should be just fine! Take it though to avoid withdrawal.

Zoloft is prescribed to help people who have anxiety, depression and a few other mental issues. It cannot make a person high.

The Gabapentin will just make the klonopins slightly stronger

No, but many users of the "SSRI" type antidepressants and other psychiatric medicines do experience some weight gain, maybe 5-40 lbs. Not everybody will have side effects with ANY medicine. Sometimes switching from one med to another in the same group solves the problem, no particular one. It's one of benefit/impact ratios you'll have to weigh for yourself. Some people actually LOSE weight because when less depressed they are more active and have fewer junk food cravings. You'll know in a month or two. Lexapro is closely related to Celexa, and is supposed to be a formulation which has fewer side effects.

No. They are two completely different types of drugs. One is an analgesic (morphine) and the other is a type of psychiatric drug that affects the reuptake of certain neurotransmitters (Wellbutrin).

Usual starting dose is 30 mg. 60 mg might also be used as the starting dose.

You should really ask your doctor, or whoever prescribed the Metronidazole. Without being given informed advice, the only safe route is to avoid combining powerful drugs such as these.

Remeron is an anti-depressant and it is not a controlled substance.

However it may be used for insomnia, but I wouldn't advise that due to its massive weight gain. Better use benzos.

I'm no expert, but I'm trying to get off it myself. It is--in effect--out of my system almost entirely. I am feeling the effects of that. One thing to keep in mind is that the brain chemistry is affected. Withdrawal from a drug that produces stimulation and altertness--including SSRIs like prozac--is likely to produce fatique and dullness for awhile. I don't know how long this lasts... but the brain has to get used to a new normal, and things may be uncomfortable for awhile.

Taking Leprexo takes a week or more to have any effect.It takes a buikd up to start working to help you. It would not likely have and effect good or bad in 4 days,

Please read the antidepressant solution. Great book. It indicates about 2 months.

Yes you can, but remember to always ask a doctor if your on any medication your doctor can then give you a letter of approval to be on the safer side. On the other side I knew a handful of doners that actually smoked pot on a regular basis and they do just fine. But always ask a doctor if you take any medication.

Prozac (fluoxetine) and Celexa (citalopram) have the same mechanism of action. The biggest differences are in pharmacokinetics (how the body handles the drug). Fluoxetine stays in the body for a couple of weeks after the medication has been discontinued. Citalopram is cleared more rapidly. Fluoxetine has much more drug/drug interactions which might become a problem when using certain other drugs at the same time.

Most opiate patients are chronic pain patients in formal Pain Management programs, and since Depression is common to all pain patients, PM programs typically require patients to go through some type of mental health therapy. Taking Wellbutrin and other AD's with Fentanyl and other opiates is common, but of course not everyone is the same. For some like me, AD's have the opposite effect, so I can't take them. There are those that do benefit though - the best course is to try it for a short period to see if you're getting any benefit.

Effexor (venlafaxine) is not known to cause a drug screen to show cocaine. Standard drug tests typically screen for specific substances, and while Effexor can sometimes lead to false positives for other drugs, it does not cross-react with cocaine. If you are undergoing a drug test and are concerned about potential interactions, it's best to inform the testing agency about any medications you are taking.

There is a scale that rates drug interactions---Mild, Moderate, and Major. Taking methocarbamol (trade name Robaxin) with the antidepressant Lexapro is rated MODERATE on many internet sites, and generally not recommended. I am answering this question because just 48 hours ago, I took that very combination after the urgent care center doctor prescribed it and the pharmacy dispensed it with no warning to me about possible interaction side effects. I experienced extreme agitation, hyperventilation, uncontrollable sobbing and then shallow breathing. Thankfully my son is a certified pharmacy technician and quickly looked up the information online as my husband tried to calm me down. So, yes you can take these drugs together, but consult with your pharmacist and physician first!

I have been taking 15mg of Methylphenidate twice each day for the past 18 months. It is for Adult ADHD. I am 59 years old. I have no general history of drug abuse other than having smoke pot and heavy drinking when I was a kid.

From time to time I have taken more Methylphenidate (up to 30mg) per dose and/or taken a third dose during the day. To me it seems 15mg does the job and when I take 20 or 25mg per dose it just gets me a bit reved up. The regular dose of 15mgX2 gives me the "enthusiasm" I need to get through the day.

Just now I started taking Nortriptyline 25mg twice a day for a pinched nerve in my neck. It is supposed to help with nerve pain. I can't say it relieves the pain but it somehow makes it feel different... less intense.

Overall, I am concerned with the combination of the two drugs. One is actually a stimulant, the other an anti-depressant. You'd think they'd work against each other.

I find... after two weeks... that the combination makes me feel quite well as it pertains to ADHD... plenty of focus, no anxiety. Nothing noticed as to adverse side effects.... BP low/normal. Appetite normal.
