Are weight loss pills safe if your 14?
Please please do not take weight loss pills... they are bad for you. They promise miraculous results but they'll be the start of years and years of yo-yo dieiting. I know, I took them for years and all they helped me do was to get an eating disorder and help me diet myself fatter over the years.
Will you lose weight from taking Cymbalta?
Any antidepressant can make you gain weight. but only a certain percentage of people will gain weight on an antidepressant. Cymbalta is not one of the worst, Paxil and Remeron would be. It is thought that a long term weight gain of a couple of pounds typically, like 1-2% of your body weight (2-5 pounds) can be expected, but benefits generally greatly outweigh the risks, and that more people DON'T gain weight while taking an antidepressant than the other way around.
On the other hand, some psychiatrists tell their patients that weight gain is an expected side effect of antidepressants due to changes their metabolism, and that weight gain is experienced by most of her patients.
Personal experience:
I have gained weight on all of the antidepressants I have tried (and there have been many). My internal medicine doctor told me that weight gain is expected on antidepressant drugs, including Cymbalta. It is true that some people don't gain weight but they are in the minority. For the majority of those who do gain weight, it isn't 1-2% of your body weight, but significantly higher. I have never gained less than 20 pounds despite maintaining a diet of around 1000 calories a day and exercising 5-6 times a week. Of course, if you are in the abyss it is worth the weight gain, but, know what you are getting yourself into.

I am interested in finding out the same info. I just started taking Straterra for concentration and inability to focus on any projects. I take 50 mg of zoloft in the morning and 25 around three I started taking 40 mg of straterra but it kept me up the entire night. I now am on 25 mg in the morning I am on day three and experience alot of tingling in the back of my head and legs. I also get alot of goose bumps like as if a cool draft came over me does anyone have any response?
According to my pharmacist, it is safe. But I still plan to check with my doctor since the leaflet mentions the dosage of Strattera might need to be adjusted with the addition of Prozac and other like medications.
How long does it take for Cymbalta to leave your system?
Cymbalta side effects/symptoms after stopping it, even low dosage, can be quite unpleasant and frightening. Those so called "zaps" in the head that some people have discussed online, can continue for quite a while. I consider it a drug not to be used unless absolutely necessary and even then recommend you be monitored closely. Not so impressed! The price of this drug is outragious!

What is Zoloft prescribed for?
Lexapro is one of a group of antidepressants that have similar actions. These are called the "SSRI" group, and they are used for simple uncomplicated types of depression, or in combination with other medication for less common types of depression.
Sometimes they are used for unofficial "off-label"problems, such as for hot flashes or anxiety. For all medicines, "Off-label" reasons for prescribing them are those that weren't approved by the FDA when the drug was licensed, but are sometimes helped by it and are prescribed anyway.
What is best time of day to take Prozac?
It does not make a difference when in the day you take Lexapro; it is just important that you take it at the same time each day consistently. The best time of the day to take it is when you are most likely to remember to take it.
***It doesn't make a difference to how well they work, but it does make a difference to how your body reacts throughout the day depending on when you take it, and the difference also depends on each individual.
Each person reacts differently to Lexapro and therefore it is up to you to determine when it is best for you to take it. Eg: If it causes you to be drowsy take it at night. If it causes insomnia then take it in the morning.
Hope that helps!
Can you mix pristiq and Vyvanse?
Well, honey, mixing Pristiq and Vyvanse can be risky business. Both are powerful medications that affect your brain chemistry, so combining them without medical supervision is like playing Russian roulette with your health. If you're considering this cocktail, do yourself a favor and talk to a doctor first.
Is it safe to take Zoloft with Ginkgo Biolba?
It is safe to take Ginkgo Biloba with Zoloft. The typical dose of ginkgo is 60 to 120 mg twice a day. The best-studied form of ginkgo is a special extract called EGb761. In the United States, Ginkoba and Ginkgold (Nature's Way) are brands that have been compounded to reflect EGb 761.
Some people use Ginkgo Biloba to counter possible sexual side effects, including impotence. In three men and two women treated with Prozac and Zoloft, for depression who experienced sexual dysfunction, addition of Ginkgo Biloba extract (GBE) in the amount of 240 per day effectively reversed the sexual dysfunction. (source: J Sex Educ Ther 1991;17:53-61.)
I have personally taken Zoloft and 120 mg of Ginkgold twice a day for over three years now, and have no sexual side effects (or other side effects) from the medication, or the combination of the herb with Zoloft.
When taking Ginkgo, there is a small risk of bleeding in the body, and the dosages of other blood-thinning agents being taken may sometimes have to be reduced.

Can Prozac be taken with Xanax?
Buspirone's chemical structure and mechanism of action are completely unrelated to those of the benzodiazepines, nor does it have an efficacy comparable to that of members of the benzodiazepine family, such as diazepam (Valium) in treating GAD.[2][3] Unlike the benzodiazepines, buspirone shows no potential for addiction or dependence, and the development of tolerance has not been observed. Furthermore, cross-tolerance to benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and alcohol, as well as other GABAergics, is not present either.
XANAX is a benzodiazepine
Can you take Sudafed and Prozac together?
It would be easy to say yes, it's OK, and usually it is. However, no one here knows your medical history, so I would not consider those who are sincere in their effort to help you, because they can be sincerely wrong. Always check with your doctor or pharmacists before taking combinations of medication.

Can you take Wellbutrin and neurontin together?
There is little evidence to suggest these medications have and added effect when given together. Lyrica and Neurontin work on the same receptors and have similar side effects, and though there are some cases of using both together, it is typically not recommended. Your case is unique so please reach out to your doctor or pharmacist to see what is proper in your set of circumstances.
What is an monoamine oxidase inhibitor?
A drug that inhibits the absorption of the enzyme monoamine oxidase.
This is an addition to the above-mentioned answer.
To be more specific, monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOIs) is an antidepressant which indirectly inhibits the degradations of monoamine by directly inhibiting the enzyme responsible for this degradation process (that enzyme is monoamine oxidase).
no Ritalin is a simple cns stimulant, but maoi medications and Ritalin are none compatible

No, Lotrel® is a calcium channel blocker most commonly used to treat high blood pressure. Can you take Celexa and birth control?
With Celexa it just says to talk to your doctor. For the pill, I know that you aren't supposed to take it if you are pregnant, but I'm not exactly sure what the affects it will have on the baby are. Just call your doctor and talk to them. They will give you a pregnancy test and, if needed, put you on a different medication.
Is it possible to overdose on Cymbalta?
Though it may be somewhat difficult to do, it is very possible and the lasting effects from a Cymbalta-related overdose are permanent and severe, at least from what I have personally experienced. If you have previous personality disorders (which by taking this medicine already- I would assume that you would), they will be greatly altered in a negative manner. I personally advanced from typical depression/anxiety/borderline to now dealing with agoraphobic schizophrenia. The typical side effects of dizziness, confusion, overheightened senses (usually causing hallucinations)- they become a permanent issue. I attempted to treat the 24/7-constant-panic problem with medicines such as Clonezepam/Klonopin. After having to come off of Klonopin due to side effects, I ended up being hospitalized because of what I assumed to be withdrawals. By the time the withdrawals should have been over and the medicine entirely out of my system, I was in worse condition than I was even in before. This, I discovered, was how the Cymbalta had left me. Permanently psychological, chemical, and nerve damage. Since this event, I am still going through medicines like a child in a candy store. None of them seem to work for much longer than a short period of time. I would strongly advise trying to avoid even a slight overdose of Cymbalta/significant increase in dosage, and especially attempting to fix yourself by consuming all of the Cymbalta you can get your hands on. The damage is not worth the risk. Previous Answer listed: Ultimately, yes. But it's probably difficult to do. Cymbalta is classified as a Serotonin/Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor, which is an offshoot of the mainstream SSRI class. Psychiatrists like the SSRI's because of their low level of toxicity, especially relative to the last-gen TCA class, whose toxicity was something to be considered. While a frantic patient could conceivably commit suicide by ingesting a month's worth of TCA's at once, death is quite unlikely to result from doing the same with a thirty-day supply of SSRI's. (The victim WILL be quite sick, though.)
Did you gain weight on Lexapro?
In studies, people treated with Lexapro experienced no clinically important weight change as a result of therapy. If you have concerns about any side effects, you should talk with your healthcare professional or doctor. The side effects listed for Lexapro are nausea, dry mouth, somnolence, insomnia, diaphoresis tremor, diarrhea, abnormal ejaculation, dyspepsia, fatigue, anxiety, vomiting, anorexia, sinusitus, sexual dysfunction, menstrual disorder, abdominal pain, agitation, decreased libido. But out of these side effects, only 4 to 8 % of all people who take this drug experience any weight change and that weight change has been reported as anorexia not weight gain.
Personal Experiences
Yes, I did gain weight. After 18 months of 10mg daily, I gained 20+ lbs. I am sure it's a chemical reaction to the Rx, as my diet did not change. In fact, the way the drug works changes your hormones and metabolism. Both medical professionals and patients who have taken the Rx confirm the weight gain side effect. I hope after the 4-6 week withdrawal period, my body will readjust to my optimal weight. Keep in mind it still takes time to lose the weight, but it shouldn't be impossible (FYI: I could not lose more than 1-2 lbs while on the Lexapro, no matter how healthy I ate or active I was)!
No. Lexapro (escitalopram oxalate) is in the class of antidepressants called SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors).

Citalopram is also known as Celexa. Celexa is an antidepressant drug for the treatment of depression.
Can you drink alcohol while taking citalopram?
That depends on what you mean by okay. Wellbutrin amplifies the effects of alcohol, particularly if you've just started taking it. If you want to have a drink and need to drive somewhere afterwards, it's probably a bad idea. If you're looking to get drunk, then it's actually helpful.
Besides the potentiality of amplifying the effects of alcohol, it can also counter act the effect of the drug as an anti depressant and what is even more dangerous, you can pass out completely forgetting the events following an important intake of alcohol. DO NOT OVER DRINK WHEN UNDER WELLBUTRIN.
