AOL mail has been down all day ( 8/4/2010 ) for me. When I try to log on it gets a little less then 1/4% done and quits. It gives the links.

If its on Facebook you simply go to your profile page. Go to the top right hand corner of the page and click on the downwards facing arrow. Then click on 'Account Settings'. After allowing it to load scroll down. You will see a red symbol with a small white horizontal line in the middle with words beside it reading 'Blocked people and apps'. On the right of this is blue writing saying 'manage blocking'. click on it and wait for page to load. Find the name of whoever you want to unblock and click the word unblock beside their name and confirm. Hope this helps
