HEY
The class Arachnida includes animals with four pairs of legs. So mites, scorpions, false scorpions, harvestmen and vinegarones are all in the same class as spiders. Crabs are Crustacea. The only link between them is that both classes are arthropods. Sea Spiders are in a separate class altogether.
Confusion and argument has raged over the position of Horseshoe Crabs. My understanding is that they are now generally accepted as arachnids
This is a carnivorous fish which lives in the Amazon What is the name of this fish?
I believe that that would be the Piranha.
The answer is piranha.
piranha
Was the 8 legged crab you saw in a Florida estuary actually an arachnid?
Crabs are not arachnids, they are decapods. Decapod means '10 legs', it is just that crabs and some other species have specialised pincers on the front pair, meaning they only walk on 8. However the pincers are technically legs.

What makes scorpions glow under black light?
The reason why scorpions glow under black light or commonly known as ultra-violent light is because their bodies contain a chemical called phosphate which glows under it.
Where does a water scorpion live?
I work at a truckstop in Mn and we are about 2.5 miles from water and we have these things hanging and flying yes flying around at night by the gas pumps and diesel pumps. So while they are called water scorpions there is no water near the truckstop but a plethora of these nasty little creatures, especially by our box crusher. The only real difference I have noticed between these and pics from wikipedea is they lack the breathing tube on their backside, and they yes they do fly. Otherwise they are one and the same ugly creepy bugs. I have pic posted on FB of one I trapped in a container to ask others what it was. My darling 13 y/o genius knew right away and now here I am answering your question. But to answer it for real, it is said they live in shallow water near shorelines and feed on fairy shrimp and tadpoles.
What does a scorpion eat and what eats a scorpion?
Scorpions are opportunistic and will eat a variety of insects, spiders, centipedes, lizards and even mice. They will also eat other scorpions.
Scorpions are preyed upon by other scorpions, tarantulas, lizards, birds, bats, shrews and mice.
Is a fly an insect or a arachnid?
A fly is an insect, mainly because it has wings and only 2 eyes (but many lenses).
A fly has soft skin and no skeleton (like a worm), while arachnids have an external skeleton. From a few weeks to over thirty years.
Some large crustaceans, such as lobsters, are believed to live to over 100 years. If you don't include the larval stage, there are some mayflies that live for only minutes as adults, lasting only long enough to reproduce.
It depends on what you mean by "largest". As far as weight, the heaviest known current arachnid is the Theraphosa blondi (Goliath bird eating spider) of South America. As far as leg span, the closest contender to the T. blondi would be the Heteropoda maxima (Giant huntsman spider).
Which arachnid is the strongest?
The Goliath Bird Eating spider is said to be the biggest. Other research that I have read up on says that there is a new species of spider in the Middle East located in the Sands of Samar. The legs of this spider are said to reach up to 14cm in length.
I'm curious to find out the type of spider this is. I live in Southern California. Has anyone seen a spider that looks like this?
Combination of head and thorax?
The name for this is a 'cephalothorax' which just literally means head-thorax.
How do big spiders manage to get into my house when they cannot possibly squeeze through a crevice?
Perhaps they came in when they were smaller and grew up in some forgotten corner unnoticed. Also, if the head or abdomen (whichever is bigger) can fit through somewhere, the whole spider can. Open windows might also have lured them - remember that flying insects are lured in this way too, and spiders are sure to follow those!
Do roly polys exhibit dominance behaviors?
they do dominance behaviors by watching you from every angle and if you do something wrong your competences would be horrible

The name "Tailless whip-tail scorpion" is a misnomer. The tailless whip scorpion is actually not a scorpion at all. It is, however, in the group that both spiders and scorpions belong to called the Arachnids. Arachnids are not insects; arachnids have two body parts and eight legs whereas insects have three body parts and six legs. Tailless whip scorpions belong to the group Amblypigidae. They are reclusive animals that live in dark places such as under the bark of trees and in cellars. Their first set of legs has actually elongated and become incredibly sensitive, serving the same function as antenna in insects -- to tell them about the world around them. They have no venom but catch their prey with their large spiny pedipalps. To people they're completely harmless, other than the ability to give a slight pinch.
