De-facto atheists do not believe in God, but whether or not they seek to try and claim this outspokenly or to just keep their non-belief to themselves depends upon the individual. The majority of atheists do not go around trying to disprove the existence of God and attempting to convert others to a state of non-belief, partly because it simply isn't POSSIBLE to prove that there is no God but also because they respect other people's right to hold spiritual beliefs, and regard it as inhumane and cruel to try to deprive believers of their faith. A minority of outspoken and fanatical atheists DO preach that there is no God and make a big thing of it, i.e. Richard Dawkins, Steve Jones, Stephen Hawking etc., but however eminent and clever such people may be they are not typical of atheists as a whole, and are actually extremist about their feelings because deep down they suspect that God DOES exist and, for some reason, are frightened by the idea, so feel the need to go into denial and to rally support from others to prop them up.

I think Reddit is a wonderful site. If you're talking about the subreddit r/Atheism in particular there are many who dislike it but it's important to understand why. The more participants an open forum like a subreddit gets, the more a submission needs to have broad and easy appeal to rise to the top. r/Atheism currently has 1,619,588 readers so this trend is very powerful there.

The result is that the front page (the most upvoted comments) is comprised almost entirely of very simple, quickly digestible yet still stirring subject matter because those types of submissions will garner the most quick upvotes from casual browsers. Unfortunately the easiest way to do this is with relateable jokes and in a community whose entire defining feature is it's disagreement with organized religion, religion (most often Christianity as most redditors are American) is always the butt of these jokes. So the resulting lack of depth and visceral nature of the subreddit cause most Christians and many atheists to find it distasteful.

So, while r/Atheism may indeed be crap it is not because of atheism but, rather, a natural occurence resulting for the number of participants (we see identical trends in any so populated forum).

If you want the Reddit experience, but more polished, try one of the similar but smaller subreddits such as r/Skeptic, r/Humanism, or r/FreeThought

This is a big question; however, some theists do good things for society that they wouldn't do otherwise - although, some doubtless do bad things that they wouldn't do otherwise.

Atheism isn't a belief system, it's the absence of belief so it's unusual for people to do things because they are atheist. However, close to atheism is rationalism and trying to make rational decisions seems a sensible approach.

There is no official atheist symbol. It comes from not having an organization like a religion to establish a symbol (or greeting, or handshake, or uniform, etc). Some atheist us a script "A" in red (no dots) for their blogs, the US Military marks graves atheist graves in military cemeteries with many representative symbols. They chose a stylized Bohr atom which does have a dot on it representing an electron for atheist graves.

There is practicably no diference between how it effects on atheism and on other religions, because the modern way of life doesn't put religion as a big thing and most people doesn't "do every little thing" that their religion states.

Spirituality is the art of inner science. It is a technic, which u can call methods for the art of living. Not only yoga and meditation can teach u inner science, u should take it from your life's experience for a healthy life mentally and physically. But many people thing that it is a way to reach GOD. They simply do yoga and meditation without knowing its purpose. Reading holy books, praying and preaching god and listening to spiritual speeches and developing good habits, doing good to others, etc.. is not spirituality, its morality. Spirituality lies within you, don't search it outside. Yoga and meditation are great scientifical methods of inner science....
