What is the Air current made by race cars?

It's called "Turbulence".

The air currents made by all cars is the same (and all moving objects for that matter). However, race car drivers use a technique called "Drafting" to gain speed by hiding in the low-density air behind another car, decreasing air-resistance and allowing the car to accelerate faster. Some people use it to save gass by following in the low-density air current behind semi-trucks. Making it so that their engines don't need to work as hard to maintain speed.

The winning cars are kept in the "closed park" for further inspection. They also perform random mechanical inspection. The cars are relased later the same day.

How do you fit a hydraulic handbrake?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think you are looking for what we used to call a " line lock ". The unit fits in the brake line for the front brakes at or near the master cylinder and locks the front brakes only for preloading at the start line of a drag race or performing burn outs when a little braking is needed and you dont want to heat up the rears. It is remote activated so anywhere in the line before it splits in two is fine and for ease of release the lock/unlock button should be on the shifter or steering wheel. It really helps when you have a manual shift vehicle and only two feet to work the controls.

Why is an eighteen wheeler called an eighteen wheeler if it only has 12 wheels?

- There are many other combinations out there of "18-wheelers" that do not have 18 wheels. Basically, an "18-wheeler" is the slang term for any truck-trailer combination that is over 26,000# and uses a 5th wheel setup for attaching the trailer to the tractor (truck).

- A typical, standard, five axle tractor-trailer combination in North America has 18 wheels. Always has, always will.

- In some instances, companies may replace the dual wheels with what are known as 'Super Singles' - a single, very wide tire and rim which replace a dual wheel. There are several companies out there that think that this is a more efficient way to run tires on their rigs.

- Of course, there are combinations which may have more or less road wheels - a tractor-trailer which has less or more than 18 wheels is still a tractor-trailer, for which the term "18 wheeler" has become synonymous (due to 18 wheels being the norm).

- The term "18-wheeler" is just like Vice-Grips (locking-jaw pliers), or Channel-Locks (slip-jaw pliers), or Kleenex (tissue paper).

- They are all "improper" names synonomously used for a given item.

When was Formula 1 invented?

The Formula One series has its roots in the European Grand Prix Motor Racing of the 1920s and 1930s. The "formula" is a set of rules which all participants and cars must meet. Formula One was a new formula agreed after World War II in 1946, with the first non-championship races being held that year. A number of Grand Prix racing organizations had laid out rules for a World Championship before the war, but due to the suspension of racing during the conflict, the World Drivers' Championship was not formalized until 1947. The first world championship race was held at Silverstone, United Kingdom in 1950.
