How long to you have to study to be just as flexible as a ballerina?
You can increase your flexibility but only within the limitations of your physique. In order to be as flexible as a ballerina you need to have the body of a ballerina AND you need to stretch and loosen your muscles daily to preserve the flexibility you have. If you cannot put your hands flat on the floor with straight knees OR sit on the floor with your legs stretched out in front and your nose on your knees OR sink easily into the splits you need a good physiotherapist to assess how much more flexibility you could attain. A physiotherapist or an expert dance teacher can test your flexibility and tell you to what extent you may be able to increase your range of movement AND how to do it without sustaining injury.
Do we still use trenches now in war?
not generally, however in basic training soldiers are still taught the use of slit trenches and foxholes and how to use an entrenching tool for field fortifications.
In the modern day sandbags and Tesco Bastions tend to be preferred to dug trenches. Quite possibly because they are more suited to desert and mountainous terrain.

How fast can a ballerina spin?
One second per rotation. Around 6.3 meters per second or 23 km/h!

A "classic" body of a ballerina would have long, slender arms and legs; a small head; and a long neck. The height of the ballerina will determine her ideal weight. Most ballerinas are between 5'3" and 5'8", so the weight range is generally 85 pounds to 130 pounds depending on height and other factors such as muscle mass.
Yes. In fact, dancers often are able to quite good at certain movement-oriented sports, like diving and gymnastics, due to their familiarity with movements, dance, and flexibility.
Dancers are athletes. If dancing was so easy they would call it football.

What is the step of the horse in ballet?
it is pas de cheval start in fifth, go through coupe and out to tendue or degage

Can you go up on your toe on demi pointe?
Well, to be honest, no. The whole 'point' of demi pointe is that you only go up onto the balls of your feet, and I wouldn't advise going up onto your tiptoes (en pointe) without a qualified teacher supervising you and with some pointe shoes on, because otherwise you can seriously damage your feet and ankles.

YES! ballet is extremely hard.People actually now consider it a sport cause it is harder than most sports like football basketball tennis hip hop tap acrobatic contortion etc. Most people think contortion is harder than ballet but we do contortion IN ballet! Type up people try to go on pointe shoes which is the shoes ballerinas have. They wont be able to go on pointe and if they try it hurts soooooooooo bad cause you are putting your toes on what ballerinas describe knifes and broken glass! Ouch 😓 Your toe nails fall off when dancing and your hip breaks and your toes and feet breaks it really hurts and we also train as hard as Olympic gymnasts!Type up misty copeland she has so much muscle from dancing! And try to do what she does in pictures just try then say if ballet is hard or not.LAST THING TYPE UP THE TRY GUYS TRY BALLET THEN REPLY TO ME . THANKS :)
this is a really question to answer. yes, a lot of dancers do get a lot of pain in their feet when they do pointe work, and there are lots of photos of horrible looking feet belonging to ex dancers, but... this does not have to be the case!
most issues with pain are due to badly fitting shoes or weak feet, and it often happens when both are happening together! if you take the time to strengthen your feet well before you starting en pointe, and you get a shoe that fits your foot very well, you should have very little pain in the feet.
as dancers begin to do more and more hours en pointe, the chances of discomfort in the feet obviously increases but you, should be able to do several hours a week very comfortably. when you first start you will only do a few minutes at the end of each class.
if you are strong before starting pointe work, you avoid taking strain through the growth plates. most dancers have no issues at all with the growth of their feet, and the problems that occur (like stress fractures or ligament sprains) are usually because of bad techneique, or doing a step that is too hard for the dancer to control.
many dancers have long careers with no problems with their feet. so... the problem is not in doing the pointe work, it is how you do it!
