Why do ballerinas wear tights?
Ballerinas wear tights so that they simply all look the same. They all get the same color tights. So the imperfections of their legs don't show. Tights have a classical look to them. Something has to absorb the perspiration from the lower half of their body and make their legs look good. Socks and long underwear are too thick and not as fashionable. Besides, it's not just ballerinas. The male dancers wear them, too.
Many people find that they dance better after a couple of drinks. However, no athlete of any kind who is interested in giving their best performance would drink to excess. (And if you don't think dancers are athletes, you've never taken dance lessons.)
Why do girls not wear tights in the summer?

Who named ballet I need to know which guy or girl named ballet.?
King Louis XIV of France invented ballet, if that is what you mean. Answer:
Bergonzio di Botta, Italian dance master, arranged the first lavish Italian ballet, in 1489 on the occasion of the marriage of Galeazzo Visconti, Duke of Milan, to Isabel Aragon in Torrona. The individual dances matched the various courses of the dinner--with Jason and the Argonauts serving as the connecting thread. So greatly were the people impressed by the ballet, described by Tristano Calco, that there were many other similar ballets, thus preparing the path which eventually led to the "Ballet Comique de la Reine."

What is the official ballet uniform?
The official Ballet uniform depends on the style of ballet that you are learning also the age catergory that you fit in ( as in the grade you are learning ). Royal Academy of Dance Pre - primary and Primary ( girls) students usually have a basic leotard either V front or round neck with a shear hail spot skirt , fold down socks and leather ballet shoes From grade one Students are are required to wear the above ( exept the hail skirt) but also have a Charater skirt and Karacter ( yes they are spelt like that) shoes . This is for dance moves that are learnt from Hungary or Russia From Grade two onwards the students require the same as above but wear stockings aswell. In the senior years the Girls are also required to wear a 3/4 length shear skirt for the main ballet work. As the girls progress and the teacher sees the progression in muscle development and technique then they may suggest it time for the student to purchase a pair of pointe shoes. Boys in ballet are required to wear a fitted white shirt/tank top and black or navy shorts or leggins with socks and ballet shoes Males are able to wear a fitted tank top or shirt with leggins , socks and ballet shoes. In RAD ( Royal Academy of Dance) you can go up to grade eight. In saying this it is extremely different than going to school , as in, if you are in yr4 at school you technically wouldn't be in grade four in Ballet because of the skills required are quite demanding. After this you make the choice of where you would like to head with perhaps a career in dance. Whether it be professional or it be a teaching line depends on how dedicated you are. Danced for 27 years , teaching for 16 years of Royal Academy of Dance Western Australia

How do you do a reverse leap in jazz?
first sashay (gallop) with your leg that feel most comfortable to you.
next take your leg that you sashayed with and hold it in passe.
then while your leg is in passe you are rotating your body in the other direction so that your body is now reversed.
now as your body is in reverse and your leg is still in passe, flick your passe leg back as you flick your remaining front leg forward.
that's how you do a reverse leap.
