Is it common for abusers to be very picky about the food they like?
No, it really has nothing to do with the abuser not liking certain foods. The only time an abuser will be fussy about their food is if the woman makes them dinner then many abusers will throw the plate upside down on the table or across the room and accuse the victim of being a rotten cook. The food could be very good, but the abuser has to make a statement of some sort to inform the abused they are still in control. Some abusers are just pure mean to the bone.
You or anyone you know does not have to put up with this treatment! Please, if you are abused or someone you know is, seek out the Abused Women's Center in your area, or at least "Mental Health" and they will direct you to the proper programs. These programs do teach you that indeed you are an individual and a worthy person; deserve to be treated better, and give you the tools as to how to stay out of contact with your abuser or, choosing another partner in life that is also abusive.
Abusers are controllers and master manipulators and they do a good job of brain-washing their victims whether it be woman, man, child or the elderly. They are cruel, conniving, and have a yellow streak going right down their back because they would never pull off this action in a workplace or out in public. They hide behind secrecy and behind closed doors. Unless you or the person who is abused comes out of hiding then no one can help you. There is a life out there after abuse.
Good luckMerry ChristmasMarcy
AnswerHi. I have noticed a real pattern after this last one ending the relationship. All of the creeps I have been involved with hated almost to a phobia, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and would be irate at a restaurant or refuse to eat anything i made with these things in it!!!I have noticed much more obvious similarities in these men as well. See below:-masters at inducing guilt, fear, abandoment-don't let go easily-namecalling to idolizing you in the same hour-threatens to leave you-copies your personality-weak-turns physically violent-beleives following you around is just part of the normal process of getting what they want. My ex husband actually stated that he saw nothing wrong with a man following a woman if he wanted her cause how else do you get her.I now see these signs clearly which will help me avoid future disasterous relationships.
AnswerThat was an interesting post. My question is: "Because the abuser is human and has some dislikes to food (like most normal people) is it not possible that if they are served those onions or green peppers they are simply just cranky (that they can get away with in public) and complain, rather than simply being an abuser who is picky?"I volunteer at an Abused Women's Center and have never heard of this, but you got my mind going and it's a good question to ask some of the abused women.
ThanksMerry ChristmasMarcy
AnswerHi there. Yes I notice they get VERY insulted if someone forgets their food preferences. The will act very offended even swear about it, they act like a spolied brat! AnswerHiThanks for your answer. See, even at 64 I learn something new every day. LOL Those little rotten rascals! I guess they'd pretty much complain about anything if it wasn't perfection.
You have a great Christmas and all the best in 2006.

How do you train 7 month old beagle?
The best thing to do would be to get Beagle training books from the local library or the book store. :) Beagle's are the best!
What is the temparment of the beagle?
Beagles are gentle, happy dogs and are not aggressive. They warm up to people quick, and crave company because they're pack animals. Because of this, some get seperation anxiety, but not all of them do and they make terrible guard dogs because they like people too much. They were bred to be a bit stubborn, and so they can be hard to train, but they will adore their humans.

Is it ok to feed a beagle pedigree dog food?
Nothing wrong with that, pedigree dog food means it top quality food and may be fed to any dog, even a mutt. Pedigree is actually not a top quality dog food, but not horrible quality either. Purina and Beneful are about the same quality. Old Roy, or Kibbles and Bits, or Cesar dog food are probably the worst diets out there. Usually anything made by Hill's is a high quality food, same with any Medi-Cal brand foods.
Where should beagle pup sleep?
A beagle pup should sleep in a designated, comfortable space that feels safe and secure, such as a crate or a cozy dog bed in a quiet area of the home. This helps them establish a routine and can aid in house training. Ensure the sleeping area is free from drafts and has some familiar items, like a blanket or toy, to provide comfort. Always supervise them during their first few nights to help them adjust to their new sleeping environment.
What breeds make up the beagle?
Beagles are dogs that where originally used to hunt because of their great sense of smell but now they are normal house dogs and are very friendly but you have to walk them a lot because they are active and will chew and dig if they are bored
What can you expect from a beagle chow chow mix?
My dog, Carson, is a 3 year old Chow / Beagle Mix. DNA tests showed that he is 40% chow and 40% beagle with a bit of pincher, grey hound, and setter. He's been quite a handful to say the least. He's a great dog. Carson is very friendly, yet shy at first with strangers, however, he is easily won over. He is great with children, however, shy with other dogs. He requires a good amount of exercise which he gets, yet he still has a bit of a weight problem even with me watching his diet and frequent exercise. On major problem that I've had with him is that he has developed severe separation anxiety. He's very destructive when left home alone. It's an ongoing problem that I have yet to solve. I brought him home when he was 5 weeks old, too early but he was a rescue from petsmart. When I found him there he was huddled in a corner of a large pen by himself with Brittany's all around him. I felt bad for him naturally and picked the only red dog in the pen :) Long story short, from day one he didn't take well to being in a crate. I have continued to try to crate train him and its a huge failure. He injures himself and I have given up on it. The last straw was when I came home from work and he had gotten his head stuck through the bars and wasn't breathing well. His snout was rubbed raw and bleeding. It was not a good sight. Without being able to crate him I looked into other options. He is now on meds, but they are doing nothing. I'm trying to train him along with the meds but its not working. Even though he is a very intelligent dog, he's also a very stubborn one. He listens to commands and is easy to train. I didn't even have to house train him, from day one he just knew outside is where he is supposed to do his business. Overall, the chow / beagle mix is a wonderful pet. Patience and determination is key if you encounter problems like mine. Hope this is somewhat useful to you!
How do you get your beagle to hold his tail up?
Many beagles hold their tails up naturally when they are happy or excited. If your dog doesn't, you can train him to do so. Put him on a leash and get him moving quickly, while telling him a simple command such as 'Tail up!' in a happy voice. If his tail comes up, immediately reward him. You can also work with him standing still, using the same command and running a finger down the top of his tail, which will often cause him to lift his tail. Offer an immediate reward. Be patient can repeat the process as much as you need to for him to get the idea.
