How big does a Blue tick beagle get?

Beagle standards for AKC are 13" and under measured at the top of the shoulders blades. And over 13" but under 15" is also accepted. So there is too class of beagles 13" and 15" classes. Color does not matter, A beagle is a beagle any hound color is allowed. If the blue tick you talk of is a purebred reg. AKC pup it should fall into one of theses two classes. But it is not uncommon for a beagle to exceed 15" I have seen blue tick pups grow to 17". the parents were 13"dam and 15"sire. Truly Misfits and should not be bred!

Why is your beagle so hyperactive?

I know quite a bit about beagles. I have four of my own and I'm currently fostering four more. I am also a certified dog trainer. I don't consider a beagle a hyperactive breed. A Jack Russel is normally hyperactive, a beagle is usually more of a couch potato. All dogs need exersice and beagles love to be outdoors with their nose to the ground hunting lizards, squirls and anything else they can. Besides allowing the dog plenty of time to be outside you can also burn up the extra energy by playing fetch with your beagle.

Answer

I don't know your dog. So I won't presume to know why he's hyper.. but beagles are KNOWN for being hyper active dogs. Walking them outdoors, and playing with them may help with exciteability. Also crating them works too.

Answer-------- as mentioned before, Beagles are notorious to be hyper and have a lot of space to play helps.

well i have a beagle and she is also hyper. its because beagles are haunting dogs so they can smell a lot at once and when there's to many smells its like there brains twitch and they become really really hyper. when that happens DO NOT pay any attention to your dog or else it will just start doing that for no reason

What is a good playmate for beagle?
