Where in the bible does it say to cry when a baby is born and rejoice when there is a death?
"Death to be going home to be with God and have no more hardships. Therefore, people should be glad for them. And to cry at birth because it is the beginning of life and hardship."
"If you were to read Ecclesiastes for the first time, you would probably consider it a rather anomalous account of a man's thoughts to be found in the Bible. We are disturbed by its lack of literary unity as well as strange sayings. It does not contain the kind of upbeat, positive message that we want to hear. He dares to suggest that we should cry at birth and rejoice in death. After all, the things of this world are full of weariness and vexation of heart."
(Job 3:1-22) After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day. And Job spake, and said, Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived. Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it. Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it. As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months. Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein. Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning. Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day: Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes. Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly? Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck? For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest, With kings and counsellors of the earth, which built desolate places for themselves; Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver: Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light. There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master. Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul; Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures; Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?
Answer:
"A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth." (Eccle.7:1)
What is the latest prediction from the Jehovah's Witnesses about the time of the end?
We do not know exactly when the end of this system will occur. See Matthew 24:36. However, according to the signs spoken about the last days in the Bible, we feel it must be coming soon.
Another Answer: Jehovah's Witnesses have taken a more open ended approach rather than trying to completely decipher complex Biblical prophecies pinpointing a specific time period. They teach that these are the last days but do not give any date or specific time frame for the end.
They try to apply this scripture at Habakkuk 2:3 - "For the vision is yet for its appointed time, and it is rushing toward its end, and it will not lie. Even if it should delay, keep in expectation of it! For it will without fail come true. It will not be late!"
Answer From an ex-JW The end of the world prediction is tied in to the beginning of the end days, that JWs believe started in 1914. The key scripture that is very often used, is Matthew 24:34 : "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." So the end of the world comes within one generation starting from 1914. (Of course, one must understand that a generation is a period of time, but a group of people.)
Currently JWs teach that by using the word 'generation' Jesus "evidently meant that the lives of the anointed who were on hand when the sign began to become evident in 1914 would overlap with the lives of other anointed ones who would see the start of the great tribulation" (Watchtower April 15, 2010, page 10).
So the "generation" is a group of people who live at least partially with another group of people who were alive in 1914. Assuming a lifetime of 80 years, with an overlapping of 5 years, we get to a span of 155 years, give or take. So the current prediction is, that the end of the world will come before 2069.
Another Answer:
Jehovah's Witnesses know that the God of the Bible, the Creator of all things has set a time when he will rid this earth of all the bad things that blight life today. From the biggest thing to the smallest thing, everything that makes life miserable will be done away with.
Although that seems a bit far-fetched, we do have precedents of things that have happened before recorded in the Bible, and in these events there was a warning given before the calamity came. So those affected could decide what action they would take.
The situation today is no different. But why is it that events now are an indicator that we are living in a time period that leads to an end to the system and when will it happen?
Jesus Christ spoke of events that were going to happen in the future. He spoke about wars, earthquakes, food shortages and other life-changing events. But there was nothing new in what he spoke about because for as long as people can remember (as history can accurately testify) there have been many wars, earthquakes and the rest for as far back as you care to go. But, what sets the time period we are in at the moment is the sheer scale of these events, their frequency and the extent they have in affecting not just a small area, but how they affect the whole earth.
The warning is going out, people are listening and making their choices known. Even former Witnesses know the end is coming. Why? Because they realise the God of the Bible, the Creator of all things is Jehovah. Anyone can pick up a Bible, read say the account of Noah and the Ark and see that when God determines to do something, he does it. The promise made at Genesis 3:15 is only half accomplished. This is the first prophecy in the Bible, and sets the theme really for the rest of the scriptures.
We don't know the day, although some have tried to guess what it may be. That specific date - only God knows.
The scriptures say it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God especially if a person has made a decision not to heed the warning and take the necessary action
.
=====================THOMAS_ANSWERS============= My fellow witnesses above referenced the warnings given of the last days by Christ Jesus as above from the Bibles own interpretation!
2 PROPHECIES THAT ARE NOT OF OUR OWN INTERPRETATION ARE STATED--They are with their own interpretation. We do apply prophecy with time periods
1. Jesus took his throne as foretold in 1914(Revelation 12:10) ". . ."NOW HAVE COME ( my caps ) to pass the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God and the AUTHORITY of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God. . ." 2. Satan was thrown out of the heavens as stated! (Revelation 12:12) "12 On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time."" ***
ce chap. 18 p. 227 The Bible-Is It Really Inspired by God? ***
1914-The Turning Point in History 30 "From the human standpoint, the world troubles and global wars foretold in the Bible were far from the thinking of the pre-1914 world. German statesman Konrad Adenauer said: "Thoughts and pictures come to my mind, . . . thoughts from the years before 1914 when there was real peace, quiet and security on this earth-a time when we didn't know fear. . . . Security and quiet have disappeared from the lives of men since 1914."25 People living before 1914 thought that the future "would get better and better," reported British statesman Harold Macmillan.26 The book 1913: America Between Two Worldsnotes: "Secretary of State Bryan said [in 1913] that 'conditions promising world peace were never more favorable than now.'"27
NOTE PLEASE WHAT WAS STATED FROM A SECULAR AUTHORITY: 32 "Decades before that date, there was an organization of people who were making known the significance of 1914. The New York World of August 30, 1914, explains: "The terrific war outbreak in Europe has fulfilled an extraordinary prophecy. For a quarter of a century past, through preachers and through press, the 'International Bible Students' [Jehovah's Witnesses] . . . have been proclaiming to the world that the Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914. 'Look out for 1914!' has been the cry of the . . . evangelists."29
We still stay with what took place in 1914 & we are indeed in the powerful "presence" of Christ Jesus & the beginning of the last days!
When did Daniel read jeremiah's scroll?
In Daniel 9:1-19, it indicates that Daniel had been reading through the books the "word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet" Daniel read Jeremiah 25:8-11 and 29:10-14:
" 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,' declares the Lord, 'and I will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,' declares the Lord, 'and I will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile'."
Daniel was reading this in Babylon in 536BC because it was "in the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus". He would have been about 84 years old at this time, since he was taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon in 605BC at about the age of 15 and would have been there for 69 years so would have known that the 70-year period of captivity was almost finished.
We are not told about any signs of the approach of Judgment day only signs at the approach of the Millennium (The last 1000 years of the existence of this earth). The signs for this event have already started. For there will be wars and rumors of wars in diverse places. The seas will extend its bounds. The moon will turn to blood (Be red). There will be earthquakes and mountains will be moved from their places. Mans hearts shall fail them. There will be all manor of iniquity.
Answer:
According to the Bible... the sign preceding Judgment Day will be that Jesus Christ and His saints shall have been ruling on the earth over the nations for the previous one-thousand years.
The account is found in Revelation 20.
Although they shall have been "judging" over the "living" nations on the earth for a thousand years... Judgment Day, itself, is the prophesied time when all the "dead" generations of men are resurrected and judged.
"But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished..." (Rev.20:5).
Among God's annual Holy Day feasts that picture all the phases of God's plan... Judgment Day is the last one that comes at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles, which pictures Jesus' thousand year rule on the earth. It's called the Last Great Day. And so it is prophesied in Revelation 20.
The signs of the approach of Judgment Day, then, is that Satan, who shall have been removed from influencing the nations for the preceding thousand years, shall have been released for a short time to stir up the nations one last time for what appears to be a "second" Armageddon.
"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan, shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations... to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone, where the Beast and the False Prophet are (were), and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Rev.20:7-10)
Then comes the description of Judgment Day (verse 11). Those are the signs, anyway.
What are five characteristics of biblical prophecy?
The prophets were extremely learned and pious individuals, both men and women, whose superlative level of piety merited them with visions from God. They had to be humble, yet speak with authority. They had to love their people, yet not hesitate to speak caustic words if commanded to by God. The prophets were called upon by God to guide the people and to guide the king. While the king had authority in national matters of state, and the Sanhedrin (Sages) had say in Torah-rulings and halakha (law), the prophets spoke in matters of ethics, of belief, of loyalty to God, and behavior. They rebuked the people at God's command, they predicted events which God revealed to them, they taught through Divine inspiration, and they provided optimism and hope with the prophecies of eventual Redemption. Some of the prophetical chapters (or books) detail Israelite history and past events, some exhort the people to improve their spiritual level, some predict events and/or warn (especially concerning the First Destruction), some serve to comfort the nation, some speak of prayer and love of God, and some speak of life, experience and wisdom.
What was Mordecai Esther's relationship?
Esther was Mordecai's uncle's daughter. Esther 2:7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
That question is, and will always be, under debate. But the majority opinion is that yes, probably he was.
It is a debatable question, but both his father and mother Joseph and Mary were Jewish.
What proof is there that Jesus raised from the dead?
The only proof that Jesus rose from the dead is the Bible. You can find in the Bible something about Jesus rising from the dead and ascending into Heaven. That is pretty much the only proof there is.
for 40 days after resurection he spoke to the disiples because they have not learned as much yet. The last day he spoke to them he stated that he would not drink the wine until his return. He was taken to heaven in the clouds by the angels and one angel stated to the apostoles that the way you see him rise is the same way you will see him return. 11 men saw that. that is the proof. Also the females that went to attend his tomb saw him alive.
What account for the differences in the synoptic Gospels?
There are numerous differences in the synoptic accounts of the resurrection, as indeed there are in many other parallel accounts throughout the synoptics.
Differences are entirely what would be expected where different people with different writing styles (and abilities), different perspectives and even different sources all write about the same events. Some writers even deliberately sought to put a slightly different view in order to present a uniform theme throughout their work. This is not altogether different to when newspaper reporters today write different reports about a significant event they all witnessed.
What results from the differences is not at all a contradictory view but a richer view than what we would have if they had all colluded to write exactly the same thing -in that case we might as well have had only one synoptic Gospel and not three.
Just as with newspapers, so with the synoptic writers, a different audience can sometimes be in mind which then has an impact on what is recorded and on how it is communicated. Matthew, clearly written for the Jews has much Old Testament prophecy and presents Jesus' as a teacher in the Jewish style. These differences are also then evident in the resurrection accounts which contain differences both in detail and in emphasis.
It is also necessary to bear in mind that omission of details from one Gospel account or inclusion in another has no bearing whatsoever on the truth of the account. Sometimes it also helps to realise that there are gaps in terms of the time-frame reported, which are often not stated. There is nowhere an attempt to write a continuous and complete record - which is probably one reason why we have three accounts and not one, since each writer felt inspired to record what they new which contained similarities but also significant differences which added to the fullness of the picture that we have in the inspired scripture.
What is the symbolic significance of the Ten horns in Revelation?
This could mean that the Devil will come and wreck havoc on the Earth and Jesus will come and save the Saints from the Devil..... i guess.
Answer:
Prophetically, the Bible references man's governments as "beastly" in nature. This is revealed to us in the seventh chapter of Daniel... where he "dreams" about "the good news of the coming Kingdom of God" that is presaged by "four beasts," which are revealed as the four major world-ruling governments of man down through post-flood history.
"...I saw in my vision by night... the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And FOUR BEASTS came up from the sea, diverse from one another." (Dan.7:2-3)
At the end of Daniel's inspired book, he confesses that he didn't understand what he had written. But, he was told that he didn't need to... because what he wrote would be understood "by those who are wise" at the time of the end of God's plan, when the saints of God would be rewarded and the whole world would be made to know the Truth.
"...I heard, but I understood not... what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end... none of the wicked will understand; but the wise shall understand..." (Dan.12:8-10).
Who is "wise," according to God? He says, "The FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM" (Prov.9:10) ! The end time "wise," therefore at the very least - maintain a healthy fear the Lord and at least possess a "foundation" of Godly wisdom, which translates into an understanding of the Bible.
And, sure enough... in these last days... Daniel's closed and sealed words find "Revelation" in the inspired book of that very name. We discover that the only one worthy to strip away the seals and tell us what the prophecy means is the "Lamb of God" - JESUS CHRIST.
"...Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God [the Father] by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH." (Rev.5:9-10)
So it is, that we are told who Daniel's "10-horned beast" is... and from "which sea" they and all the beastly governments of the past emerged.
"...I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a Beast rise up out of the sea (just like in Daniel 7), having seven heads and ten horns..." (Rev.13:1).
The "parable" that is the book of Revelation... God's most puzzling parable for the nations to ponder and wonder about... has a story flow that is interrupted here and there with "synoptic inset chapters" that bring the "understanding" reader up to speed on certain aspects of the beasts and their character roles as they have unfolded over the course of time, as well as where they are all headed in the end.
For instance... chapter 12 brings the reader up to date on Satan's role in the course of history from his coercing his angels to follow him in his coup attempt to overthrow God's Government in the beginning... and ends with an overview of his role in the coming Great Tribulation.
The Bible tells us that the "Antichrist," as men, who are ignorant of the scriptures, call a mysterious someone who supposedly shall rule the world in the Great Tribulation, will actually be TWO MEN who will rule this coming government system (Beast) JOINTLY!
They are both referred to as "beasts"... as is the system of government over which they rule. According to Daniel... a "king" is synonymous with his "kingdom." When you say "king"... you are also saying "kingdom." And vice versa: when you say, "kingdom," you are also talking about its "king." For as the king is, so is his kingdom.
So it is with the Beast. The coming "Beast" is interchangeably the government AND its rulers.
For instance, when Jesus said to the Pharisees, "...the Kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:21)... you may be assured that He would never tell the Pharisees, whom He called "hypocrites" and a "generation of vipers," such a thing.
The Pharisees and all of Judea were looking for the Messiah to appear to set up Daniel's prophesied Kingdom on earth and smash to pieces Daniel's FOURTH BEAST, which they knew to be the Roman Empire, under whose thumb they lived.
Jesus' preaching of the Kingdom and John the Baptist's testimony and all His miracles made Him the prime candidate for the Messiah position... and they were all waiting and expecting Him to produce it - for three-and-a-half years!
So: "...when He was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! For, behold, the Kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:20-21)
At another time, Jesus told Nicodemus that we "enter into the Kingdom" (John 3). So Jesus was not telling the Pharisees that it's within us. As stated above... king and kingdom are synonymous with each other.
Therefore... Jesus was telling the Pharisees and whoever else was listening, that the KING of the coming Kingdom of God stood right there (not within them, but) IN THEIR MIDST... and THEY COULDN'T SEE IT!
The "two" Beasts: the Beast and the False Prophet (called, "another" Beast - Revelation 13:11) shall rule their beastly government also called Beast, together. There is no one "Antichrist," as Satan has men believing as a misdirection ploy.
When Jesus returns, He doesn't cast "the Antichrist" into the Lake of Fire, but: "...the Beast was taken, and WITH HIM the False Prophet that wrought miracles before him... These were BOTH CAST ALIVE INTO A LAKE OF FIRE..." (Rev.19:20).
The Great Tribulation will be led by TWO MEN... not one "Antichrist."
The Beast shall be a "political/military" figure. The False Prophet is a "religious" figure who is able to work miracles while in the presence of the Beast (probably channeling Satan's power to the False Prophet... as well as some "high-tech" stuff, called "lying wonders").
The False Prophet appears to the world "Christ-like"... to be "Christian": "...he had two horns LIKE A LAMB, and he spake as a Dragon..." (Rev.13:11).
But, before these two men (Beasts) can come to power... prophecy states that TEN-HORNS will GIVE THEM THEIR POWER.
Who are the ten-horns?
The answer is found in Revelation 17 - the synoptic inset chapter that describes the False Prophet's (false religion's) role in history, and where it all is leading.
"...I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore(a woman is the prophetic symbolism for a "church" or religious establishment, beit a false church, false religion or God's True Church - see also chapter 12) that sitteth upon many waters [the sea]..." (Rev.17:1).
"...the waters [the sea] which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues..." (Rev.17:15).
The four beasts that rose out of the "sea" are the four world-ruling empires in history that arose from the nations of men... the "sea of humanity."
The fourth Beast, Rome... survived its "historical fall" and its basic system of government is still extant today in the "free world" governments of today. Even America has its "Senate."
And as described in the ("11th Edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica; ed. art. 'Roman Catholic Church') - Rev.13:14 "Image To The Beast":
"The Roman Church as a whole serves in the spiritual sphere spirit and much of the organization of the Roman Empire. The administration of the Curia carries on the tradition of Roman government."
In other words... although the Roman Empire apparently "fell"... its system of government survived and has lived on through various attempts to resurrect over the centuries through the likes of Napoleon, Hitler and Mussolini.
And in Europe today... the vast territory and outlying areas of which the "Holy Roman Empire" (the fourth Beast) ruled... in increasingly troublous, confusing times, Europe is desperately working toward "globalization," world unity... and many people are using the words, "Roman Empire" in their descriptions of Europe, as the United States is being sapped of its superpower status, resources, fear and respect by other nations around the world.
The final resurrection of the "Holy Roman Empire" is near. Rome is called "the City Built on Seven Hills." Note how the Bible describes the Great Whore:
"...the seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." (Rev.17:9)
Which "religious organization" sits in Rome?
The "Holy Roman Empire" is rising. The nations are in turmoil here in the time of the end. Governments are going bankrupt and nations and powers are falling. A restructuring of the nations and governments are in the offing. Might Europe (the new rising superpower) return to an "authoritarian" system of rule? Where "KINGS" rule over "KINGDOMS?"
The question needs to be asked as the time of the end draws to a close, because of the Bible's interpretation of the "ten horns" of Revelation:
"...THE TEN HORNS WHICH THOU SAWEST ARE TEN KINGS, WHICH HAVE RECEIVED NO KINGDOM AS YET; but receive power AS KINGSone hour WITH THE BEAST. These have one mind, and shall GIVE THEIR POWER AND STRENGTH UNTO THE BEAST." (Rev.17:12-13)
There is the end time understanding of Daniel's "ten-horned" Beast.
The prophetic evidence points to Europe coming under the leadership of the Beast and the False Prophet (state worship) probably through their "miracles"... and probably in a panic, a "crisis" of some kind or many kinds from many directions. It says that the Beast will "appoint" these ten "bluebloods" their power over "kingdoms"... with Europe divided up into "ten kingdoms." It will be a ploy by the Beast to usurp emperor status long enough to get what he wants - all of Europe's power and strength... all of Europe's power and resources, political and military.
It says that their power will be short-lived as the satanic plan of the Beast will lead to the annihilation of all life on earth... which will necessitate Jesus' return to save the world.
"...THESE SHALL MAKE WAR WITH THE LAMB..." (verse 14).
By the time these ten kings come to power, the Great Tribulation will be in full swing and near to ending all life on earth if Jesus doesn't return. And when they see the brilliance of the sun approaching earth in the clouds that have darkened the earth (see Rev.6, the sixth seal)... the Beast will direct all his resources into fighting against Jesus' "alien invasion" of the earth.
"...and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful." (Rev.17:14)
That is "one understanding" of the ten-horned Beast in Revelation. The Bible calls it the "gospel"... the "good news" of the coming Kingdom of God.
-----------------------------------
The Revelation 12 dragon with 7 heads wearing crowns and 10 horns is physically represented through the United Nations (UN) in the 1st 3 1/2 years (1260 days) of the 7 year tribulation.Spiritually, Satan is symbolized as the dragon who inhabits the UN worldwide corporate beast to rule the world. The 7 heads with the crowns represent the 7 past and present world ruling empires as described in the bible i.e Assyria,Medo - Persia,Babylon,Egypt,Greece,Rome and presently, the UN.Presently, there is only 1 world organization that contains all the seed (descendants all over the world and nations) of the 6 past ruling empires, the UN.The crowns on the heads refers to the fact that nations can individually or bloc vote on world issues in the UN.Nations have voting power. The 10 horns represent 10 future world divisions which will be created in the 2nd 3 1/2 years of the tribulation. They do not have authority yet.
The Rev 13 Beast with 7 heads and 10 horns wearing crowns will be represented physically in the creation of the New World Order (NWO) at the beginning of the 2nd 3 1/2 years (42 months) of the 7 year tribulation. The NWO will evolve out of the UN (which will be no more) as symbolized by the dragon (UN) giving his authority to the Rev 13 beast(NWO) as a result of the global push for world unity and peace due to wars, natural disasters, etc. The NWO in trying to get rid of national and ethnic boundaries and problems will divide the world into 10 divisions(kingdoms). These divisions(kingdoms) will have ruling power instead of individual nations as is the case in the UN today. These future 10 kingdoms are represented by the 10 horns wearing the crowns instead of the 7 heads as seen on the Rev 13 beast.Spiritually, the beast spirit from below (Hades) inhabits this New World Order organization and its human subjects to make war on the saints of God in the 2nd half of the 7 year tribulation described as "the great tribulation".
The 7 year tribulation is for the trying of the church/saints, not the world.God will try his people/church during this 7 year period because when he sends Jesus to gather his people at the rapture and resurrection,he wants a holy and spotless bride/church waiting for him.The lukewarm, apostate, following after the self, only in name christians will fall away from the worldwide body of Christ during the tribulation due to the persecution on the saints by the world beast empire. They (apostate christians) will take the mark of the beast at the start of the NWO (2nd 3 1/2 years).Just like Judas in Jesus's day.Only this time, on a corporate worldwide scale.History always repeats. There is nothing new under the sun.Ecclesiastes 1:9.Sifting of the tares from the wheat as Jesus said. However, the true saints, obedient to the bible, living by faith and in holiness, will endure to the end of the tribulation as overcomers by God's grace and meet Jesus as the holy and spotless bride.
The true saints of God (those who obey the bible) need not fear the tribulation which is about to happen as they will see and do signs and wonders all over the world just as Jesus and the 1st disciples did 2000 years ago.Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. Those will be exciting times because the gospels will become real for so many saints all over the world.Romans 1:16-17.
What is the biblical abomination that causes desolation?
The phrase "abomination of desolation" refers to Matthew 24:15 (KJV): "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel-let the reader understand." This is referring to Daniel 9:27, "He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." In 167 B.C. a Greek ruler by the name of Antiochus Epiphanies set up an altar to Zeus over the altar of burnt offerings in the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. He also sacrificed a pig on the altar in the Temple in Jerusalem. This event is known as the abomination of desolation.
In Matthew 24:15, Jesus was speaking some 200 years after the abomination of desolation described above had already occurred. So, Jesus must have been prophesying that some time in the future another abomination of desolation would occur in a Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Most Bible prophecy interpreters believe that Jesus was referring to the Antichrist who will do something very similar to what Antiochus Epiphanies did. This is confirmed by the fact that some of what Daniel prophesied in Daniel 9:27 did not occur in 167 B.C. with Antiochus Epiphanies. Antiochus did not confirm a covenant with Israel for seven years. It is the Antichrist who, in the end times, will establish a covenant with Israel for seven years and then break it by doing something similar to the abomination of desolation in the Jewish temple in Jerusalem.
Whatever the future abomination of desolation is, it will leave no doubt in anyone's mind that the one perpetrating it is the person known as the Antichrist. Revelation 13:14 describes him making some kind of image which all are forced to worship. Turning the temple of the living God into a place of worship for the Antichrist is truly an "abomination." Those who are alive and remain during the tribulation should be watchful and recognize that this event is the beginning of 3 1/2 years of the worst of the tribulation period and that the return of the Lord Jesus is imminent. "Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36).
More on the subject;
The failure in understanding "The Seven" comment is most people attempt to cram everything into one earth iteration, which simply is not the truth. In 2nd Peter 3 you learn there will be 3 earth iterations, Flesh mankind occurs during the 2nd iteration (now).
The Seven the initial poster mentions is simply a week consisting of 7 days. However in 2nd Peter 3 we learn that a day with the Lord is as 1000 years to man. This indicates that the first 6 days necessary to create this earth iteration were a time period to man of 6000 years, next was a day of rest (7th day) which its self was 1000 year (the first week therefore made up the first 7000 years).
Where people get things wrong is not focusing on the second week which starts with the man to till the soil (eth-ha-adam) or Adam on the 8th day (1st day of the second week). Why do you think the circumcision required by our father in is Covenant with Abraham, was to occur on the 8th day (it identified a people).
There are two weeks assigned to this second earth iteration (read 2nd Peter 3).
One week has completely passed
We are upon the 6th day of the second week.
Christ existed in the flesh in the middle of the second week, when he was killed in the flesh, an end to the sacrifice and offering was achieved as it is written in Daniel. But don't worry it will come back
Daniel 9 identifies the abomination of desolation
Daniel 7 also identifies the same but in that context he is referred to as little horn, which matches his identification in Revelation 13. (looks like the lamb slain)
Revelation 9 identifies the time frame Satan as the Anti-Christ will have while on earth (5 months), that 5 months is split into two time periods of 2 and 1/2 months each. One can understand these by counting backward from the 1st day of the 7th month (blowing of trumpets), which occurs around the middle to end of April and during the entire summer.
How does the Abomination make desolate? He gets you to worship him as if he is Christ. As it states in Daniel 11 he comes in peacefully which deceives everybody, as it states in Revelation 13 he can perform miracles in the sigh of men which further deceives them. He will undoubtedly come during very extreme times he comes in peacefully and working miracles, who can deny that as being Christ? But wait... He is in the flesh .... So there is a problem....because it is written flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of our Father. Therefore your identification is simple, anyone claiming to be Christ while in the flesh ..... is a fake.

Who was the first prophet and the last prophet?
The answer to this question depends entirely on the religion in question.
According to Judaism, the two answers are different. The Greatest Prophet was Moses. The Last Prophet was Malachi.
According to Christianity, there is much contention over who was the Greatest Prophet, between Moses, Isaiah, John the Baptist and others. John the Baptist, however, was certainly the Last Prophet in Christianity. (Jesus Christ is not a prophet since a prophet must be someone separate from God who receives visions from God. Since Jesus Christ is God, he cannot be also be a prophet.)
According to Islam, the Greatest Prophet and the Last Prophet are both Mohammed.
According to Baha'i, the Greatest Prophet and the Last Prophet are the Baha'ullah.
The list goes on...
What year was Moab and Ammon destroyed?
The modern nation state of Jordan consists of ancient Moab in the south and Ammon in the central portion and Aram in the north today. Moab and Ammon were never completely destroyed but were conquered by various nations. See link below.
What are some of Elijah the prophet sayings?
The life and ministry of Elijah is recorded in 1 Kings 17 through to 2 Kings 1. The first of his prophecies is recorded in:
1And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
This prophecy was fulfilled in the terrible famine which followed, thus revealing Elijah to be a true prophet of God.
Another prophecy, occurring during the famine relates to God's provision both for Elijah and for the poor widow who fed him for part of this time. This second prophecy was fulfilled by the constant provision of food out of the same container for 'many days.' (see v 15)
14For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.
How is the Book of Revelation interpreted?
In his Ecclesiastical History (VII, xxv), Eusebius quotes Bishop Dionysius the Great of Alexandria (d. 264-265): "Some indeed of those before our time rejected and altogether impugned the book, examining it chapter by chapter and declaring it to be unintelligible and illogical, and its title fake. For they say that it is not John's, no, nor yet an apocalypse, since it is veiled by its heavy, thick curtain of unintelligibility; and that the author of this book was not only not one of the apostles, nor even one of the saints or those belonging to the Church, but Cerinthus, the same who created the sect called 'Cerinthian' after him, since he desired to affix to his own forgery a name worthy of credit. . . . But for my part I should not dare to reject the book, since many brethren hold that the interpretation of each several passagies in some way hidden and more wonderful."
Martin Luther said that Revelation is neither apostolic nor prophetic and resembling the dreams of the Abbot Joachim, a wild visionary of the end of the world. According to an opinion poll in 2002, a majority of Americans believe that apocalyptic predictions in the Book of Revelation will come true.
Additional Comments:
There is no doubt that many consider Revelation one of the most (if not the most) difficult-to-understand books in the Bible. This has caused some to simply dismiss its complicated narrative and vivid descriptions as mere allegory - a human way of reasoning away or discounting something one cannot comprehend. There are some who assume Revelation recounts a past history. But there are many today, as the words of Daniel (similar book of prophecy in the Old Testament) seem to be coming more true that the sealing up of the understanding of these future prophecies are getting clearer (Daniel 12:9).
Consider the opening of the Book which clearly states that this revelation of the end-times is from God the Father (as Jesus noted only He knew the end) and given to Jesus as the revelator to mankind. Remember, God does nothing without first letting man know what is about to occur giving him time to repent (Amos 3:7). So Revelation is a divine warning of future events upon all mankind. God asserts that He declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10), and Revelation speaks of the time of a culminating battle between 3 Kings or peoples (multiple nations) bringing global devastation and death to most of the life on the planet. Mankind seems set to destroy itself and then the 2nd Coming of Jesus happens. The warring nations unite to fight Him and are destroyed. The Government of God is implemented and a millennial rule begins and ends with the Judgement process of all mankind. Most all will become sons and daughters of the God Family in the spirit world. Unfortunately, there will be some incorrigible who will be thrown in the Lake of Fire - this is their 2nd and final death (Matthew 10:27-29; Revelation 21:8)
What is the most significant number in the Bible?
In the King James version Numbers of hundreds are expressed as two words - eight hundred, and the same holds true fro thoudands - three thousand.
This means that a word-counting program will see eight hundred as two words, and six hundred thousand as three words. Bearing that in mind, the following is a list of all numbers which appear more than 20 times. It does not include ordinal numbers - first, second, third, fourth, etc. * one ............... 1967 * two ................ 837 * hundred ........ 590 * thousand ...... 520 * three ............. 485 * seven ............ 463 * none ............. 358 * five ................ 345 * four ............... 328 * twenty .......... 293 * ten ................ 248 * six ................. 202 * twelve .......... 188 * thirty ............ 174 * fifty ............... 157 * forty ............. 157 * threescore ..... 93 * eight .............. 80 * nine ............... 50 * fourscore ........ 36 * fourteen .......... 26 * fifteen ............. 24 * ninety ............. 24 * sixteen ............ 23 * eighteen .......... 22
What did isaiah prophecy about?
Isaiah warned of the danger Jerusalem faced from Assyria, but did not actually prophesy that they would capture Jerusalem, which in any event they did not do. The nearest to such a prophecy is in verses 1:10-11, possibly a later addition: "As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?" If this is read as a prophecy of the capture of Jerusalem, then it must also be read as evidence that Isaiah could no more see inot the future than could those he was warning.
The prophetic mission is to come to earth again for a second time and to judge both the living and dead.
Can people really have visions?
No. There are no psychic abilities to see the future.
This is not to say that there aren't "feelings" about future events. If you didn't do your homework, and feel that tomorrow your dad is going to ground you, that's just common sense based on experience. Not a premonition of some kind of psychic nature.
Nor are the astrological columns that make generalized predictions like "I see a famous celebrity meeting with tragedy this year!" really psychic visions. It's just playing the good odds that somewhere, some celebrity will have something happen that could be called "tragic".
Yes. Some people are gifted with the ability to see into the future. This is called pre-cognition. Some psychics use cards as a focus, others use touch and stil others read palms. While there are many fakes, there are also some people who really can see into the future.
No. Those with supposed "pre-cognitive" abilities all failed to warn of 9/11. Or the collapse of the Soviet Union. Or Princess Diana's untimely death. If any were real, surely one amongst them would have spoken up. And bear in mind, having foreknowledge of a crime and doing nothing makes you an accessory.
To believe then in pre-cognition, one must claim that everyone who has the ability is a completely amoral sociopath, who contradictorily, also does not wish to use their "power" to seize control of humanity.
One cannot have it both ways. Evil enough not to warn of 9/11 is evil enough to desire to control Earth. There were no warnings, and there are no psychic overlords. Therefore, no "pre-cognition".
Yes. I can categorically say that this is the case, when i was a child i saw a plane crashing into houses , i was sat chatting at school and i just looked and saw this image for around ten seconds . i told everyone i was near and drew a picture . ten days later the event happened in lockerby.
around end august i was in my lounge in the middle of a conversation with someone , i stopped and explained what i saw . it was like looking at a translucent image of a plane and the undercarriage wheels in the ceiling of the room and flames further away i relayed what i was seeing . and told my family. two weeks later on sept 11th i received lots of phone calls and my image was seen again.
I had another and the last of the visions i saw three men in dark thick black coats facing away from me towards a moving train these men were different height i sensed that they knew the train was going to crash. i told my sister and two weeks later the french train crash occurred.
i had one the experience a man came into a restaurant where i was having lunch , i felt a seriously strong connection to him i had never seen him before . he was eight two elderly persons. he was i suspect not related to them his skin dark and his hair thick and dark . he came over to my table stood next to me and made the sign of the cross on his body stood a few seconds and walked out of the restaurant . i never saw him again.
i have a sence of when my one daughter is in trouble i ring her if i feel this . one one occasion her friend was raped and the man convicted and imprisoned for the crime . this happened whilst my daughter was a few minutes from home having had a chat with me around ten mins earlier . we both sensed something was wrong and she told me as she got home she didn't know why but she thought i WA sright this time . she didn't know about her friend until several days later .
i record everything now but don't know what to do with this information. i am scared if i might see something in a vision again as i feel that i am going to have to tell someone of significance but i am worried about repercussions.
so whoever said people with visions should feel guilts for not reporting it . help me find who would listen cos i am just a normal person i don't think anyone would listen to me or take my call about any vision anyway. but i am open to suggestions.
Prophecy is all about letting the faithful of God know in advance, what God is going to do, that they might prepare for it.
"Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." (Rev.1:3 NIV)
Answer2: Especially remarkable are the scores of Bible prophecies regarding Jesus Christ. Professor J. P. Free observed: "The chances of all of these prophecies being fulfilled in one man are so overwhelmingly remote that it is strikingly demonstrated that they could in no wise be the shrewd guesses of mere men."
The fulfilling of many of these prophecies was completely beyond the control of Jesus. He could not, for instance, have arranged to be born of the tribe of Judah, or as a descendant of David. (Genesis 49:10; Isaiah 9:6, 7; 11:1, 10; Matthew 1:2-16) Nor could he have maneuvered the events that led to his being born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2; Luke 2:1-7) Nor would he have arranged to be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12; Matthew 26:15); that his enemies spit on him (Isaiah 50:6; Matthew 26:67); that he be reviled while hanging from the executional stake (Psalm 22:7, 8; Matthew 27:39-43); that he be pierced, but not a bone in his body be broken (Zechariah 12:10; Psalm 34:20; John 19:33-37); and that soldiers cast lots for his garments (Psalm 22:18; Matthew 27:35). These are merely a few of the many prophecies fulfilled in the man Jesus.
There is a book that has accurately predicted the future. History has verified its exactness. It has never been proved wrong. This book is the Bible.
The Prophecy
"'O you who are residing in the retreats of the crag, . . . Although you build your nest high up just like an eagle, down from there I shall bring you,' is the utterance of Jehovah. 'And Edom must become an object of astonishment . . . no man will dwell there.'"-Jer. 49:16-18.
Its Fulfillment
What is the condition of ancient Edom today? "Around us were the desolation of ages; the dwellings and edifices of the ancient city [Petra, the former capital city, carved out of the mountain crag] crumbled and strewed in the dust."-Edward Robinson, in "Biblical Researches in Palestine."
Did the Bible prophecy World War 2?
Jesus said: "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom..." Matthew 24:7a
This has been used by some people as a prophecy of world War II, but on the same basis it is also a prophecy of almost every war since, and every war yet to come. Burton L Mack (Who Wrote the New Testament) describes how to get answers to questions like this. He says that one can ask any question of the Bible and get some kind of answer, then if the first answer does not appear to be helpful, one looks for another answer to the same question, until the right answer appears. He says this is especially helpful in finding apparent prophecies in the Bible.
What is the last line in the bible?
In the book of Revelations in the chapter 22 verse 21 says The grace ofthe lord Jesus be on all the saints.Amen.
Who are those to fight the war of Armageddon?
If one were to believe in the Christian religion, then they should know that no one truly fights in the Final Battle, for Jesus will speak with a sharp sword in his mouth the Word of God and all the soldiers on the side of Satan and those who bare the mark of the beast shall be stricken down forever. Therefore no one truly fights in Armageddon, but it depends on your denomination on who will be on the battle grounds to witness the down fall of Satan
