* Condoms * The Pill * The Rod * The Injection * The Coyle Condoms are the only ones you can buy in a shop or pharmacy. The legal age for buying them is 16 years old . The pill , rod , injection or the coyle you can get from your local sexual health clinic , you can be any age over 13 to get them . You can also get condoms from the SHC , and you do not have to be 16 years old .

This may stop your periof from coming but realistically you can only start Yasmin BC on the first day of your period. In most cases your period will be a lot lighter and may even finish earlier than usual for you. This is caused by the BC becomming used to your body.

You can delay your period by not taking a break between the packs of pills. To do this you must take your birth control everyday and at the same time everyday. By doing this you have 99.9% protection from pregnancy. When you get to the day that you would begin your placebo pills, you must begin your new pack of active pills at the same time you have been taking your birth control. By skipping the placebo pills and starting your new pack of active pills, this will delay your menstrual cycle from starting that month.

Use a backup method of birth control for the first seven days of this pack.

Birth control is the most effective when you've been on it for 4 weeks and finished your first period.

You will lose protection if you start the new pack a day late (that is, if you go more than seven days without taking an active pill). If you do that, you must use a back up method for the first seven days of that new pack.

A better way to move your start day a day later is to take the first placebo pill in the pack as scheduled, then start your new pack the next day. Doing so will not affect protection.
