This in an umbrella term for various methods and techniques use to prevent fertilization or interrupt pregnancy at several stages. Some of the commonly used birth control methods are condoms, contraceptive pills and injectable contraceptives.

If you're looking only for birth control protection, you've got four choices, three of which will be discussed below:
The first is another form of birth control. Before you move away from condoms, you need to know the VD/AIDS status of everyone you're having sex with. If you two are monogamous, meaning you don't sleep with anyone else, this is pretty easy. If either of you have sex with multiple partners, you HAVE to use condoms every time you have sex. No options.
The second is the Skin Condom. It's made from sheep intestines. Very expensive--like $2.50 per condom expensive--and they're porous so viruses and germs go right through hence they are no good for disease prevention. But for birth control in a monogamous relationship these are excellent--you can feel each other much better with a skin condom than with a latex one, so sex with a skin condom is really good.
Third is the polyurethane condom. When these came out they were awful--they were fragile and you couldn't feel a damn thing through one. Now they use a much better polymer and I think they're better than latex ones as they transfer heat better. The sweet thing about polyurethane condoms is they're not sensitive to petroleum-based lubricants like latex ones are. A lot of people like scented massage oil during foreplay; it's basically floral-scented baby oil. It will eat right through a latex condom, but it won't do anything to a polyurethane one. These are not available in textures, ribs, studs or other novelty shapes, just plain for now. Also, if you are lucky enough to have a partner who is too big to fit in a poly condom, you are SOL. They only come in one size. Most men will fit in one, but for the more well endowed, well, sleep with someone else.
And fourth is the female condom. Sold as Reality, these are also polyurethane. These are for women who sleep with jerks. If the loser guy you're with won't use a condom, you can put this thing in place, which requires a minor in engineering to accomplish, and have some sort of protection. They're available but they're really expensive.
If I needed non-latex protection, I'd use polyurethane male condoms. They work (better than latex, in my opinion) and they're not outrageously expensive.
There isn't another type of condoms that I am aware of, but there are other forms of birth control. Condoms are your best bet against STDs though. Talk to the pharmacist or your doctor and see if there are other alternatives.
Can you get pregnant after using birth control for six years?
There's no definite answer to when you'll actually become pregnant, but once your period has returned to its natural rythm your chances of pregnancy are back to where they'd be if you hadn't been on the pill.
Can you still get pregnant if i missed one day of your birth control but used a condom?
You would need to be ovulating to become pregnant... (that is if any sperm went inside you). The sperm would have to travel up and hit the egg. Condoms act as a barrier to prevent the sperm from hitting the egg. So overall, No you should not get pregnant.

In my experience yes because your body is use to the pill and when it is taken away then your body thinks that it is that time again. Also wen you are supose to hae your pirod and you take the pills they are just a reminder pill so that you wont forget so it is not really medicated. Your body will think that you are not taking the medicine so it must be time to hav eyou cycle.

DepoIf you take the shop depo provera (not sure on spelling) you will not have a period while on that form of birth control. You would have to take a shot 4 times a year.There is also a drug called Norethisterone (not contraceptive) that you take three times a day starting a few days before you are due on - it stops you from coming on completely until you stop taking the tablets. You'll need a prescription from your doctor.

What are the two methods of contraception?
There are many different types. There's the pill, which you take orally. There's the implant which is a little flexible rod under your skin in your arm, there are male and female condoms, the deppo injection in the muscle on your bottom, the coil which is a device implanted into the neck of your womb and there is the morning after pill which is emergency contraception incase something "doesn't go to plan!" Can the birth control pill cause depression?
Get off the birth control pill! It is known to cause breast cancer, clotting and in some cases strokes. That little pill is simply not worth it. Talk to your doctor if you are sexually active as there are other options you could be using.
YES!! I used to take Ortho Evra and I was a nut case. I was depressed and emotional all the time. My sister can't take anything so far or she is real emotinal. I started taking the shot and I think that because it has no estrogen it is better for me. Yes and no. Some can increase anxiety and depression, and some don't. I started birth control to help with my depression and anxiety, and it works very well. It varies from person to person. Talk to your doctor to find a birth control that would work best for you. I had to try a few different kinds of pills until I got one that helped reduce depression and anxiety.
I would ask ablout a low hormon birth control pill,they are usually used in pre menapausal women .I was having a lot of trouble with my bc pills making my anxiety worse and then my Dr. put me on I forget the name but it helped.
personaly it doesnt really matter which brand of condoms are the smallest because nobody really has to know what size your penis is except for your partner. and if your partner doesnt like the size of your penis then he or she doesnt really LOVE you, just use the right size that fit so nothing serious will happen like pregnancies or a std
