You have no heat in your BMW 740i 2000?
Have the same problem with a 635/csi. I'm not technically a mechanic, but, pretty sure it's the heater control valve.
pull the metal key from your key fob and open the driver door stick the key in the slot and press the start button, very possible the car gives you a red or yellow warning symbol in the dash *as car on the lift*... and a WORD, the word could be alternator , stater or battery ! call a tow truck and send it to a BMW mechanic shop...don't try nothing else.

Look under the hood on the drivers side of the vehicle, there should be a little jug that has the words (ATF) written on the top. That is were you fill the power steering fluid.
Why is one valve gap bigger than the other?
The valve gap has to be checked when the rocker arm is on the "bottom" of the cam eccentric. This means that the cam has to be rotated as you check each valve, to get a correct reading. There can be variation in the valve gap due to uneven wear, but in a well maintained vehicle, this should be a very small variance.

The driver's side seat fuse is fuse #15 in the engine compartment fuse box. The fuse box is located close to the fire wall, passenger side. It is a 30 AMP fuse. There are 3 x 16 sockets (some sockets may be empty). The fuse you are looking for is next to the last in the first row (closest to the fire wall).
