Preferably you don't. Any paint you can apply at home is likely to chip and scratch much easier than the factory applied one. If you want to do a really good job, strip the bike to the frame, them leave it to a powder coater, preferably one who starts by having the frame media blasted down to the bare metal first.

If you still want to do it yourself, start by sanding the whole bike to give the new paint a rougher surface to adhere to. Clean and degrease, then paint. I prefer hammerite, as it's quite strong and rather forgiving. If you intend to rattlecan it, use many thin layers. Work in a well ventilated area and leave the bike for several days befor starting reassemblly, that'll give the paint some time to harden up at least.

It is up to you; you size, weight, ability and experience. If you have a lot of experience go big, if not staying with a middle weight model is better.

Probably a busted or gummed up freewheel. Easily replaceable and not very expensive either, but replacement require a few special tools. Sometimes they can be flushed out and relubed as well. Try the posted link for more info.

and any of the makes on there are good except: Blank, Deluxe, Diamondback, Freeagent, GT, Intense, Kuwaraha, MCS, Mongoose, Premium, Redline, Ruption and Stereo.

Steer clear of these and you'll be fine :)

You need a a spoke wrench to get the spoke out of the spoke nipple by the rim. The nipple screws on and off just like a regular nut. Undo the nipple and bend the spke a little until it pops free. Unlace the spoke from where it's intertwined with the other spokes until it can be released from the hub. Bring the spoke with you to thebike store and buy a replacement, then repeat in reverse. Tension spoke until it gives of the same tone as the other spokes then plucked.

If you jumped that bike it would crack.

Apollo bmx bikes are not the best, but if you're just starting off they're ok. However, if you're at a decent level of bmx and you have the money, you might want to go for a wethepeople, hoffman, mongoose, archos, mafia, haro, or even make your own custom bmx

bmx races are held at bmx track if you want to find a bmx track near you just go to the usabmx website and go in search track nearest to you if you dont live in the states just search bmx tracks in "your city" and it'll list the closest track!

Don't suggest you start riding at 10 years old, but in general yes a Diamondback is a very good model.
