The Boston Terrier, or any dog that has a shortened nose, is prone to have breathing trouble. I have a Boston terrier, and when he was a puppy we had to get surgery to open his nasal passageway more. Seven years later, he still has the occasional bout of breathing trouble but just running your hand from the bottom of the throat to the chin will help him recover from it. Tibetan Terriers tend to try to find their place in the "pack", so they might pick on the youngest child. My tibetan growls at my younger brother (11) from time to time. But when he is around babies and small children, he is real sweet. They have major problems with adult/teenager strangers- they do sometimes bite.

But don't worry- This could be different depending on how you train them when they are puppies and new to the home. When we first got our dog, my brother wasn't old enough to care for the dog, and gained no respect from him. If you have all of the kids firmly command him, give him his food, etc, he will understand they are above him. Don't let him/her get away with anything, have the little kids scold him. My dog seems to like/respect the people in my family that are the most firm with him.
