I have 5 Boxers and they get along with everyone. My females treat small dogs like they are their puppies. The older small dogs do not like it. But they end up running in the dog park anyways. My older boy loves to play with the big dogs. His best friends have been Pits & Rotties. As long as they do not have the ALPHA syndrome. My other 2 boys play with everyone including cats. When they are healing they scab over but you have to watch the dog because they will reopen it. I know how you feel, it was a horrible site on my Candy Cane. I have a pitbull boxer. Her mom was a rednose pit and dad was a boxer. she was the runt of the litter so is probably a little smaller than average. she is an extremely well behaved dog that was easy to train. She has a great demeanor and knows a bunch of commands. She was very calm and submissive naturally so that helps.
