However, her ex can pick the children up and have quality time with them and there is no need for them to be together. It is time to communicate the fact to your girlfriend that it is either her ex she chooses or you because you are no longer putting up with this arrangement.

I realize it may hurt but in due time things will be better. It will be mature of both of you if you can break up without all the drama, arguing and ignoring one another that generally goes on. I do have to say though taking time and moving forward means not waiting around for him hoping you can get back together as it would consume you thinking and feeling that way when it may not happen. Forget it. Whatever happened it is "water under the bridge" and life goes on. You need to realize the mistakes that were made so you don't repeat them. You can not "make" a person love you, want you, or even like you. Move on.

Actions speak louder than words. Let's take a closer look at his actions one by one. He's still in another relationship--do you really think that's an action of love for you. He calls you constantly and wants to see you. Ask yourself why he wants to see you. Is it for a sexual encounter? Have you been allowing him to see you and have sex with you? When he talks with you, does the conversation always end up with a sexual tone? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, do you really think that's an action of love. Love is not a feeling it's actions of kindness, respect, and loyalty. Love is not rude, and hurtful. Love does not take advantage of another for selfish gain. Think about it, and you can answer your own question.

This guy sounds like he's an ego maniac ... wants his cake and eat it too! Don't give him the pleasure. Time to kick this guy to the curb! Move on, show your independence and don't look back. You didn't say if he actually told you he loved you or you are second-guessing him. If he loved you he'd have no problems leaving the other woman. Many people will be giving you advice and tricks that will allegedly help you get your ex girlfriend back. But none of them, I think, would really work if you really don't know exactly what you are trying to do. To get an ex girlfriend back to and have a new relationship with you again, you must give her a very good reason to get back. It is not something that is tangible that you should offer just so she will be enticed, but something that she should understand that getting back to you is the best decision to make.
