It is more likely to be the cooling system in the car. check you thermostat and coolant temperature. the coolant "DEXCOOL" tends to form sludge inside the cooling system(heater core). it may be clothed up.

I have an '08 LaCrosse and this should be the same design. Open the hood, remove the two plastic push-type fasteners that hold the cowling (or grill) near the wipers. The grill is in two pieces that overlap each other. There's one plastic fastener on the left side and one in the center. Remove the rubber gasket at the back of the engine compartment. Tilt up the grill and remove a second plastic component that is about 18" wide and looks like a diverter for rain water. The cabin air filter is tucked in under the grill and over the glove box. With the filter removed, you can see the blower squirrel cage. Install the new cabin air filter, and as they say, installation is the reverse.

You pour it in the top of the power steering fluid reservoir. On the 3.8 liter engine, it's located on the left rear of the engine just behind and below the alternator. It's tough to get too and identified on the reservoir cap. You'll need a funnel with a flexible tube to fill it and be careful not to overfill.

Yes, assuming that you are changing all four wheels and tyres, it doesn't matter that one is 15" and one is 17" but you must take into consideration the offset, and ensure that there is adequate clearance with anything in the vicnity ie: wheelarches (inner and outer), shock absorbers, springs, suspension arms, brake calipers, etc, especially on full lock.
