2000+ Cadillacs don't use vacuum to control mode doors any more, they are electronic. Commonly, on these Devilles, the gears in the blend door motor get stripped & the unit has be replaced. Normally, these entails tearing out the whole dash to replace this unit (to the left of the radio behind the dash), because you have to "time" some levers that go to that door motor. With some practice, you can take out the climate control unit & the radio & install this unit, but you have to have plenty of patience!! Because customers are picky about dashes & the dash board corners are almost always coming unglued & folded, I prefer installing the unit without removing the dash.

coolant temp sensor is on the driver side rear cylinder head. If you look straight down upon the rear head you will see the connector plugged straight into it!goodluck.

For the record, I have the EXACT same problem with my 2003 Deville. When the blower motor fails to work, I can open and slam the front passenger door and it immediately starts working. Once it starts working, it will continue to work for as long as the car is running. If I turn off the car, it is a coin flip as to whether it will work when I restart the car. If it does not, I can slam the passenger door again and it will start working again until the next time I turn the car off.

the starter is located inside the intake manifold which is under the top cover that says northstar in other words itis inside the motor

There is a button on the dsh (left side of the wheel) it has a picture of a gas pump on it. If its not working there is a little tab and wire inside the trunk near the fuel door pull down on the tab to release the door.

Did you mean the cabin filter? Its under a panel at the base of the passenger side windshield under the hood. It looks like a little door with two tabs on it. pull back on the tabs to release. Open the door and pull the filter. Clean the inside of the housing and slide in the new filter. Close the door and reset the tabs. Takes about 5 min to do.
