"Hollywood" Chewing Gum

This is a common misconception created by the movie "Looking for Mr. Goodbar." The original name of the bar was created by the Mars company in the 1950's. It had nothing to do with dating or the movie.

M&M's are based on the older British product, Smarties. Forrest Mars Sr. saw soldiers during the Spanish Civil War eating chocolate pellets that were coated in sugar to prevent chocolate from sticking to their fingers. After the rights were purchased by Americans Forrest Mars Sr. and R. Bruce Murrie in 1939, they had to reintroduce them to the domestic market with a different name because there was already a candy product sold in the U.S. under the name Smarties. To identify their new brand, they combined the first initials of their last names: M & M. M&M's were first sold in the United States in 1941. and it is also short for mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm as in good.

In all probability nothing special.

White chocolate has very little cocoa, and it's the cocoa that holds the stuff in regular chocolate than can make dogs ill. So w/o cocoa, there's no particular risk.

1. Heat the gum using a blow dryer but be careful not to melt the carpet if it is a synthetic carpet. Using a piece of plastic, lift the softened gum away. Just let the gum stick to the plastic, and then pull it up. This may get most of it.

2. Apply Dencorub Extra strength pain relieving cream or a muscle rub containing methyl salicylate. Using a plastic or a clean white cloth, pull as much gum out of the carpet as possible. Repeat if necessary.

3) If some chewing gum remains, you may try eucalyptus oil. Before using eucalyptus oil, rinse the area with a mild detergent solution (a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent to half a litre of warm water). Sponge the solution onto the carpet and then blot off with a clean, white cloth. Do the same process with just fresh warm water. Dry as much as possible trough blotting.

4) Apply a small amount of eucalyptus oil with a clean, white cloth and lightly rub in one direction. Repeat rubbing in the other direction.

5) Rinse the carpet per step 3.

As an alternative, or a second step, you may wish to harden the chewing gun with ice cubes and scrape away the chewing gum with a knife.

When treating gum stains, take care not to over apply solvents such as Eucalyptus oil. A cleaning solvent/solution residue may cause the carpet to re-soil quickly and/or can cause damage to the carpet fibre and backing. Also, ensure you use a clean, white cloth as a coloured or dirty cloth may cause a stain on the carpet when the solvents are applied.

Remove as much of the excess gum as you can using a dull knife.

Spray WD-40 (all purpose oil in a spray can) right on the gum stain and let it sit a minute.

Using a fingernail brush, brush the gum in the direction of the carpet fibers (with the grain) as it is broken down by the WD-40.

Remove the excess pieces of gum as you brush the spot.

Continue to spray and brush the area until the gum is completely removed.

To Clean the area:

Spray the spot with all purpose/grease cutting cleaner like 409 or Lysol spray cleaner and blot it with a clean wet sponge rinse out the sponge with warm water and Keep blotting with the sponge and wiping in one direction. This will clean the area.

Blot up as much of the moisture in the area as possible with paper towels. Now just let it air dry. Good Luch With It!

1. It is so yummy they can't resist.

2. They want candy to satisfy themselves.

3. They can have fun with the candy.

Yes, the yellow taste terrible, but the other colors taste great!

It all just depends on the size package you buy. A small bag is usually 99 cents. A Large container of them could run up to 5 dollars. The ones they sell at the movie theater cost like 3 dollars for the same thing you can buy in a store for 99 cents (what a rip off!!).

The only "pleasing plump" candy I can find on the internet is a Halloween basket filled with assorted cookies, chocolate wafers, crackers, chocolates, Halloween confections, mandarin orange sours, candles, dried fruit, crepes and Belgian chocolates.

Perhaps "good & plenty"?

Ideally you would not allow your dog to eat any more marshmallows. Since these are primarily air-puffed sugar with a little bit of gelatin for stiffness, there's very little risk of toxic effects or gastric issues - your dog may be a bit withdrawn as he deals with a belly-ache from too much sugar, maybe some diarrhea or vomiting and a really long nap to get over the crash after a sugar high. You will likely be able to watch your dog ride this out at home, but you should watch for signs of severe problems such as a swollen belly, extensive vomiting, or pain.

Candy Corn was actually the most popular Halloween candy in the year 2004. Typically, Hershey Bars are the most popular in a given year.

I would like to know this also. I was not aware they sold peppermint pez candy.

I believe this was their first offering. They were trying for the breath mint market and were adding a swell new dispenser.

Anyway, I contacted PEZ about this a while ago and their answer was to call the company directly.
