Capitalism is unfair?

Capitalism is a system driven by private ownership of means of production. This leads to a system in which an entire nation's populace is driven by the desire to make profits and accumulate wealth. A true capitalist system is a free market economy with NO interference from any governing body.

Many people view this system as unfair because, once a bit of wealth is accumulated or inherited, it becomes easier to accumulate more wealth. However, it is exceptionally rare and nearly impossible for someone who has very little wealth to accumulate any, hence the saying "you need money to make money". This leads to the concentration of most of a nation's wealth among a tiny percentage of the population, with the vast majority of a nation's population sharing the rest.

Without some form of interference from the government or the formation of powerful worker's unions, capitalism inevitably leads to the concentration of power among the few, and the exploitation of the many.

This is why a capitalist economic system can be seen as "unfair".

What characteristics must a society have in order for capitalism to be possible?

Capitalism is an economic system in which the means of production are privately owned; supply, demand and price are mostly set by market forces rather than economic planning; and profit is distributed to owners who invest in businesses.

2) Lack of fraud or monopolies

3) Government's only role is breaking monopolies and preventing fraud (e.g. No taxes, no public education, no public healthcare, social security, etc.)

No countries truly have capitalism.

Why reject capitalism for socialism?

While the G20 summit in London aims to continue the hegemony and oppression of Capitalism, Hizb ut-Tahrir convenes two press conferences on Friday to save the world from Capitalism and its crises

Since 1999, G20 summits have taken place and formulated financial plans for the world - plans that brought crises and calamities to human beings and the world. They claim that through these summits they will save the world even thought it is inconceivable that the wolf would save its own prey! The leaders of the G20 will meet in London, the spiritual capital of Capitalism and its corporations, on Thursday 2nd April 2009. Instead of formulating a plan to rescue the world from the financial cirsis, they only devise solutions that aim to increase the wealth of the rich capitalists even if that further impoverishs the poor.

Meanwhile, Hizb ut-Tahrir, the global Islamic political party, has convened two emergency press conferences in Beirut and London on Friday 3rd April 2009, a day after the London G20 summit. At both press conferences, Hizb ut-Tahrir will launch its new book "Towards a Tranquil Safe World under the Shade of the Economic System of Islam". The book examines the global economic crisis, explains its reality, critically examines its symptoms and exposes the flaws in the solutions proposed by the flagbearers of Capitalism. The book concludes by illustrating the correct solutions to the economic crisis from Islam - solutions that are from the Creator of the universe and the Creator of mankind, who knows what is best for His creation.

(أَلا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ).

"Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything)." [TMQ Al-Mulk: 67]

At the press conferences, there will be speeches in Arabic and English outlining Hizb ut-Tahrir's solutions to the economic crisis and its response to the London G20 summit. There will be an opportunity for open discussion and debate and both press conferences will be broadcast live on the Internet.

The press conferences will take place in Beirut and London on Friday 8th Rabi` al-Akhar 1430 Hijri / 3rd April 2009

How can we bring down global capitalism?

Easy, do not spend money. Besides the thing that you need to live like food and shelter just keep your money. Most people are habitual spenders. By spending indiscrimately we give our power away. The world runs on money - forget the fairy tales. People are kept at bay by the social structure that we have been brought up in. Polititians rest soundly because we complain but take no action. If people organized and pointed their wallets like cannons at the power that be thing would change. But there you go many people don't want change. That is always scary.

Fear is the enforcer that keeps the many serving the few.

AnswerEradicate the human race, I would think. At the very least, the fall of capitalism requires lack of selfishness; I defy you to say that humanity will ever remove that particular personality trait. AnswerEradicating the human race is far from necessary. You need a collapse in the current system, and enough of a demand for change. From there, because we are all products of our environment, (refer to several cases of children being forced to sharing quarters with animals, while developing all of their mannerisms), we'd need to restructure to a philosophically higher, and environmentally aware state that would breed over time proper moral standards to produce an adequate system. People are not naturally greedy or driven to criminal tendencies. These are byproducts of a corrupt monetary system. Over 90% of all crime is monetary based. This system also rewards corruption and greed.

Do you have rights in capitalism?

Capitalism is a form of economy, not of social order or government.

What are the similarities between socialism and capitalism?

Socialism and communism are similar in the way they are supposed to work - all power being shared equally - and capitalism is similar to socialism in that everybody should ideally get out what they put in proportionally, but communism and capitalism are the exact opposites.
