Basically if a snake HAS to be force-fed using a pinky pump - intervention should have been instigated long before such drastic action was needed. There are products available to stimulate reptiles feeding reflex, which are far less stressful than restraining a snake and forcing food into its stomach using a pump.

Dusting every day is pointless ! The reptile will only absorb as much calcium as it needs. Anything extra will simply be excreted in its urine. Dusting its food every other day is perfectly adequate. Dusting more often will not make it grow faster !
How do you trim an iquana's nails?
DON'T do it yourself unless you're confident you can do it successfully ! Take the Iguana to a vet - it may cost you a small fee for their service BUT they're experts in this. You risk causing damage to your lizard's toes if you do it wrong (or the lizard makes a sudden movement !)
