What do you force feed a sick snake?
Force-feeding should ONLY be done (a) as a last resort and (b) by an experienced herpetologist !
Force-feeding involves forcing the snakes jaws apart, inserting a food animal as far back in the throat as possible, then holding the jaw shut until the snakes starts to swallow.
Are reticulated pythons make good pets?
The answer is NO.
Not unless you are ready to deal with an adult python that:
- Get's HUGE - between 15-18 feet
- Requires a large enclosure
- Is very expensive to keep
- Defacates like a horse
- Can live for up to 30 years
- Requires more then 1 person to care for it safley
- Is big enough to kill you, a family member or another oet

If not - DON'T GET A BURMESE!

Additionally, the Boas will grow to be very heavy snakes compared to the Corn, and will probably crush the Corn snake if they laid on top of it for any length of time !
Are corn snakes legal as pets in Georgia?
Yes it is legal to own a ball python in Georgia. They sell them at Petco, so obviously it is. When you buy one there is no requirements to buy it, except I believe you might need to be 18+ years of age. I have owned one for about 6-8 years now. Even if it is illegal its not as if the cops would even care and nobody is going to call the cops on you.

Now you know how picky they are. The best would probably be for beginner gecko or corn snake and bearded dragon they are not as picky

How do you attract a lost pet snake out of hiding?
If the snake isn't coming out that likely means it is both full and comfortable. Start by dropping the temperature in the room it is in several degrees while simultaneously putting a warm spot out that will attract its attention. You can accomplish this by setting a lamp in the middle of the floor and turning it on. Try doing this at night and then sit quietly and wait to see if the snake comes out. It might take a few hours before it starts to move if it does at all.
Another method is to get a frozen rat/mouse, thaw it out and set it in the middle of the floor in a container of some sort. If the snake is in the room, even if it just ate there's a pretty good chance it will come out to investigate. Of course like the above method you need to be there to see it come out and catch it.
If you don't know for sure where it is, but only suspect you can try laying flour out along the edges of the wall. The theory is that the snake will crawl through it and confirm by way of its body impressions in the flour that it is in that room.
